What does it mean when there is a large Black arrow in the move?

For instance, that move where Bass grabs them, and jumps in the air and does some super-powerbomb or something has a black arrow in it.

In the instruction manual, it says to hold the button. But, for how long? And how is it even feasible to hold a button during fast fights like the ones in this game???

i got all ya answers:D k first up u gotta tell me what controls u have??? i made a special one cuz i hate the default one!!!:rolleyes: well anyway black means the slam button. for mine its the yellow button cuz i created a special control setup.u push that and it grabs them and slams them. try pushing every button and one of them ur character will just do a grab, it will look like there gonna hug the opponenet. ok just tell me ur setup and i can help ya more. o ya and also im pretty sure the slam button is F+P (feirce punch.) so look on ur controls for a f+p and that shud be the right button k. hope this helpz:cool:
