Elo = 4000 ... Wtf??

I dont knownif anyone else has noticed but what is the deal with the stats in RS3 ... the guys near the top of the board have an ELO of like 4000. Now I have no idea how the accomplished this task. It would seem to me that it is hard to inflate you ELO .... his kill to deaths is like 1.16 or something. I have played alot of this game and have yet see anyone with an ELO higher than 1600 on a server that I am on.

Oh yeah ... I know that Moonpie guy does this with every game that comes out. What I don't understand is how you would even go about it with this game ... it seemed to me that this system might have been a little bit harder to cheat on. We all know that you could just go into a checkpoint game in RTCW with a friend and keep hitting the flags for an hour. I just wonder how they are doing it on this game ... anyways this type of behavior is blatantly homosexual ... it is just a shame that these kind of people exist. Someone should realize that an ELO that high is just ridiculous and ban them from the leaderboards or something.

Someone explain mathematically how the ELO system works. How could you exploit it? for example: If two people with beginner ELO's (1200's?) duke it out. Player 1 wins every match and never dies to player 2. Will Player 1's ELO increase to infinity, or does it have a finite limit. If there is a limit, what is it, 4000?

There is a way to cheat with the ELO.

Sometimes when someone is hosting. Everyone who joins starts off with the same ELO as the host. Ive seen it happen.

But i mostly play on UBi servers, so i dont see it happen often.

In fact, ive also seen peoples ELOs match the 1st perons in a UBiservers.

Example:

I find an empty ubi server, I join. Everyone who joins after me will have the same ELO as me.
(yes ive found empty ubi servers)

he prolly uses another live account on his xbox and kils that person repeatly and his elo rises as he wins the match and kills.

anyway, one thing i hate about the elo system is that when im up around 1380 or so, and i join a new server, my elo is shot all the way down to 1150 or something, wtf is that???

Because it matches the host, or the 1st person in a dedicated server.

I played with this guy!!! He's a jerk off. I killed him and his team a couple times and he goes off about how stupid ELO is... This was a while ago, within the first week or so of RS launch. Everybody knows my ELO is pretty high:o HE could have a friend that lets him cheat and get points by killing him. I could do the same, because i have 2 xboxs and both can be connected to live.

Actually R6 is the first XBL game to have useful stats.

Look at the kill death ratio to see if you are playing anyone decent.

I agree Jax ..... the "points" RTCW were pointless and so were some of the stats in GR:IT. By looking at their kill:death ratio you can get a pretty good idea of how good they are.

*******, i wanted to kill myself yesterday. i had the highest elo ever of 1620 and lost it withing the next 2 rounds. went back down to 1565. i hate elos, im focusing on kill death ratios bc elos are a pain in the ass. i increased my kill/death ratio from 142 to 1:51 in 2 days.

ah well, u can say that im getting a hang of that game.

me and Xtopia just played a guy with an ELO of something like 6684!!... what a load of SH*T!!!... he played about the same number of hours than me and Xtopia and had a worse kill-death ratio than both of us... and the guy comes in and makes a point of tellin everyone to look at his elo cause he's so good... the elo means nothin... im sick of people lookin at it to judge how good you are... this guy wasnt good at all

this is how i think it works.


basically, you have 2 xbox consoles and rs3 in both with 2 diff xbl accounts.

you host a game and invite your other xbl account in and you play your other xbl account by yourself.


after your other xbl account's elo drops, you have the other account leave.......bring him back into the room and his elo is the same as yours..........


you do this until you have the elo you want.

actually im pretty sure the ELO is totally f*cked up right now... i go in a room and am all of a sudden 9000 ELO and a guy with 3 kills and 50 deaths is 10'000... then i die once... go down to 1800.... go in another room and am up to 8000.... who cares about elo.... look at kill-death ratio

lol, i just lost my 14,000 elo. kinda funny bc i joined an italian server and i was kicked after my elo matched the person with 1,600 something. blah :cuss:

anyway, im sick of this high elo ****, so im back to the bottom and working my way up the honestway. hell if u kill someone with a 15,000 elo, u'll get lik 75-100 elo points.

ah well, everyone should do the same.
