I only play Team survival. An I am ranked like 3000. I dont get that crap. I have like a 1.3+ ratio and I would think a decent ELO. But 3000 ranked out of 71,000 total players in Team Survival doesnt seem too good. I was like top 200 in Wolfy in Team Deathmatch or whatever its called. And why cant you check ranking in the games. YOu can only see ratio and ELO. I have to leave a game and check stats to see what I am ranked.
Truthfully it doesnt bother me too much, it just doesnt feel like being in the top 3000 is really elite.
Don't worry about ELO. W/ ELO you are only as good as your last game. As it can change drastically by getting killed a few times. The kill-death is a much more accurate way to gauge someones skill.
I would say 1.3 is about average.

screw average. Average is for when you're drunk and you dont have anything to take home from the bar that night, then you drop your credentials down to average!!!!!
I think I am pretty good, I just get greedy sometimes and too freaking.... anxious for kills.
I saw the guy who was number one had like an 18.+ ratio for this week. That is sick.
I guess if I played only specific boards I could keep my ratio up. I always get raped on switzerland and I my disc seems to spin a lot and causes me to lag on Airport 1.
Does the disc spinning and slowing of play happen to anyone else on Airport 1????

Yes we do. Last night it wasn't as bad as it usually is, but sometimes it gets really bad. But Xtopia and I don't really have the best luck when it comes to hardware. (This is our third Xbox; I know, it's a curse.)

Like Peeps said, our Box can't handle Airport 1.
But no, I don't think a 1.3__ ratio is ave. I think ave. is about 0.75

ELO means nothing... you go up and down by thousands a day... its all about your kill-death ratio

Kill death ratio does tell a lot but not everything. I have gone into certain games and been playing with people that were no where close to my skill level. I ran right through them. That doesnt mean Im a great player just better than them. Kill to death is still the best indication IMO

hnic, just try to be consistent......
i've managed to keep my ELO around 1350-1400 range
it has spiked up to 1500+ and dropped to 1200 but i keep it in that target area
thats just a culmination of staying alive, NOT DYING FIRST, and getting key kill(like beating higher ELO's or gettin the final kill of a round)
ELO just gives you a good idea on how you are doing with compared to the people in the current server.
Most people will enter a server with a high ELO but a poor ratio. After about a map, you'll see them at the bottom. A consistant good player will usually work his way to the top 3 and stay up there.
If you want a good idea on how good someone is, look at there Kill death ratio. If they have a High ratio and they are getting owned, its obvious they have been playing a lot of noobs.
I played really good one night, and got my ELO in the 1500's and i was 93. But than i died a few times, next thing you know my ELO is back in the 1300s.
Like i said before, dont look at the ELO as a indication of skill. Unless they are up top, and they stay up top.

As long as your ranked above me, you know you're doing something right, or at least you know you're not doing anything terribly wrong. lol.
