I have tried Mech Assualt and I really didn't enjoy it, but thats just me! If you get to pick a game, pick RainBow Six: 3! Every1 loves it! :D

Rainbow Six 3 is a great online game. Get what you like though. Try getting a blockbuster gamecard. then you can try em first.
