I don't own any platinum hits, so I really can't say, but from what I've seen, I'd tend to agree: I prefer the oringinal cases, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that the platinum's are ugly.

I agree. The platinum cases don't look right but if I can get a decent game for $30 CDN I won't complain. A platinum Xbox would look sweet.

I actually like the Platinum case. I don't care what color it is cause most of the time the case contains a great game and I enjoy the beauty of the game more.

I just buy the cases to get the game and book. Eye candy means nothing with videogame cases.

Very true. I'm sure we've all been suckered by the fancy screenshots on a videogame case or PC box only to bring the game home and it turned out lousy.

I DESPISE the platinum cases... I would only buy one if I couldn't find a green cased game anywhere. But mostly I can find a platinum hit in a green case so it dont matter.

It's possible, but you gotta keep up on your pimpin yo.
Most dem Platinum Hits drop to $19.99 before MS even announces dem as P-Hits.
I remember coppin PGR & Amped foe less than 20 beans before dem ugly cases were even announced!
I good place to get sweet ass deals is www.ebgames.com and once you link to any of dem consoles respective pages they have a link called "bargain bens" and they have killer deals dat you wont find in stores. Ya feel me?

Yeah I got PGR for $20 at Circuit City about a month before the official Platinum proce drop. I still see copies of it in the green case so people who DESPISE the platinum cases like I do don't give up hope they can be found in green!

I think the Platinum Hit cases look sweet. But for collectors value it's better to get one in the original case.
