Transfer Xbox Live account without Memory unit?

I have a first Gen Xbox and I have some problems on certainbaords of RS3. But My roomate just got a new Xbox from his girl friend so I am sure he wouldnt have a problem at all with it.

Can I still use my orignal Xbox live disc and download it to my roomate's Xbox? THen I could open my account on his Xbox? Or would I have to still buy a memory card and save my account and take it to his?

I've never used my account anywhere but on my XBox and I was just wondering.

You can use the 'Retrieve Account' option from your dashboard. I don't have Live, but I've heard that's the way to do it w/ a new box.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, I will. It's "Account Recovery" and you just need to re-enter all of your info on there. If it's a brand new Xbox, it should already installed on there, but have the disk ready just in case.
