"Black Isle studios, the creators of successful role-playing titles like Icewind Dale and the Baldur's Gate series, is no more.
It has been revealed that Interplay, hit with some major financial difficulties, has decided to shut down the studio. At the time of closing, BIS was working on Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II for the Xbox and PS2 consoles (which will continue to be developed) and Fallout 3 for the PC.
We wish the former Black Isle members the best of luck"
Another one bites the dust.
I don't mind at ALL when a piece of crap developer goes by the wayside *cough*3DO*cough* because of the changing economic environment of the gaming industry but man do I HATE to see stuff like this.
