can I go live with chipped box?

My box is chipped for the obvious reason that I can get 8 games for the price of one should i be daft enough to buy from the high street..
However I have been told recently that you cannot go live with a chipped box????
can anyone put me out of my misery before I fork out on the headset & description..?

No, you can't play on Live and stop stealing games from companies - it only hurts sales and causes the games to stay as high priced as they are.
