when u zoom in with the remote on the xbox, is there a way to select an area and zoom? because it only zooms in on one spot and its kinda annoying

Good question...but, I haven't tried it yet. But, I don't have high expectations with the XBox's DVD capabilities since it is really a gaming console. But, I will admit, it is my only DVD player...so, I haven't spoiled myself with a high-end DVD player yet. I shoved in Gladiator as my first movie and it played it nicely :)

when you are zoomed in, if you exit the display, you use the arrows to move around the screen, looking at wherever you want

Has any one had any DVD's not work on their X-Box? cus...disc 2 of Pearl Harbour didn't work on my x-box but it worked on my friends PS2. So whats up with that??

I've had a couple of DVD's that seem to freeze for a second or two on the XBox but the same DVD's don't do this on any of my other 5 DVD players. I'll try Pearl Harbour when I get a chance. I have the movie I just haven't had time to watch it.

Why do you zoom, unless the movie is widescreen and you want to watch it fullscreen, but in that case, why not just get the movie in fullscreen?

I have PH and plays fine on my xbox. i find that the xbox is SUPER-SENSITIVE with the discs, any scatches or fingerprints, and it will reject the disc.

I've owned four DVD players before the XBOX. The sad truth is that not all DVDs work in all DVD players.
