Brand new Xbox with the newest drive Flashed red with new game.

It's a brand new Xbox. I purchased Lord of the rings and the game froze 30% into it and a red light came on and said it needs service. I unplugged it overnight and it hasn't done it in 5 days. Anyone else have this ocurrence? It's only happened once and my Xbox is brand new with the newest drive. Luckily I have a 2 year warranty!:cheers:

Wierd...never happened to me. Usually the red light means a fatal error and your xbox needs repair.

Well, after playing ESPN yesterday, the Xbox made a weird noise after ejecting. It sounded like a car that won't start in the winter. I was mad as hell and took it back and explained to them I had a ton of music on there that I couldn't transfer. They gave me a brand new Xbox, renewed my 2 yr warranty, 2 free games and a $30.00 rebate. I think that is fair.:cheers:

that's a pretty sweet deal actually.... i'm surprised they gave you free stuff... if i were you i would use that $30 to buy Xbox Music Mixer so you can transfer all your music straight from your PC without having to burn it all... it's free money anyway right?
