My question is more out of curiosity than concern, and it simply involves the strategy games of old. I remember the glory days of playing games like Sid Meiers "Civilization" or the every poplular "Sim City" on my old 486. Are developers not into producing quality strategy games like this anymore beyond the childish "RollerCoaster Tycoon" type games. And maybe more importantly, is there still a market for games like this, in the midst of the Halo generation. God games were not only entertaining, but also time consuming. I know they have a lot of titles like this out for PC, but what happened to them on the consoles. I mean if the SNES could make SimCity enjoyable, then just imagine the depth it could have with an X Box at the helm. What do ya think???

If I'm in the mood for any of those titles, I'll just play 'em on PC. However, if I had to choose one to be ported to the Xbox, it'd be Age of Empires. Why? Well, I've played so much Civ and Sim City in my life that I am honestly 100% over those games, and Railroad Tycoon is just boring IMHO.
But AoE would be nice to play, as I've never put much time into that one. I do agree, though, that developers would do well by bringing some of this particular genre to the Black & Green. Not all of us Addicts are fond of 'twitchers'....

I can definately understand what you mean about if you want to play them, you'll just go with your PC. Maybe my question was more of just a pipe dream of sorts, it's nice to know that there are some people out there who still enjoy those games and wouldn't mind seeing them revised and revamped. I miss the days were gameplay had more to do with the success of the game than mind numbing graphics. I dream of a day when a developer decides to FULLY combine the two.
