GTA3 Map

Not sure if they left this out of the options or if I am being retarded, but is there any way you can explode the map?? I didn't play the game much on the PS2, but I seem to remember being able to access a larger map...

I know you can unlock more parts of the city by completing the missions.

I think he means look at the map when you press start like in Vice City, from what I know you can't and it drives me crazy some times, just to lazy to get out the map that came with it.

I mean is there an option to view a larger map on the screen instead of just the small one in the corner?

I'm pretty sure there isn't and it irritates the heck out of me because I have to use the big paper poster that came with the game....... :cuss:

yea that bugs me alot too. my uncle has the PS2 version and i remember it haveing a bugger map in the pause menu so why doesnt the Xbox version?

True its really stupid not adding a enlarged map inside the menu screen. Did you get another map that came with the GTA:DP. It was folded up so you can use that. Hang it on a wall or something.

I wish that rockstar would give them maps like the ones on Midnight club 2, you know the ones that you can blow up, or shrink while you are playing, that would have been nice.

There is a map in the menu screen! It's just big enough to see where places like the gun shops and pay and spray are.

There's no way to make the map bigger but I found out holding down right trigger makes it show a bigger area in the little screen and left trigger makes it show smaller area in your map screen. There is a map in your booklet, and the poster of GTAIII on the back is a map of all of the city.

There's a way to zoom in on the map, you can click in on the right or left thumbstick(can't remember which one) and it will zoom in on it and makes it much more visible. I know that was on ps2 and I think i remember doing it on the dp for xbox.

Its not exactly click but push the right thumbstick up to zoom in and the left thumbstick to move around since its enlarged but thats only for VC. GTA3 doesn't have it.

I'm talking about zooming in like on MC2, where on the normal screen, while you are driving you can zoom in or out.

Isn't there one in the pause screen like George said? If that's not what you guys ae talking about, then I have no idea. I know that there is one in the pause sceen though.

Isn't this the one everyones talking about? If it isnt what small map are you looking at?
