We had our first HALO lan party yesterday. 4 xboxes, 13 controllers.

We noticed some lag in the game play at times. We used a netgear 4 port 10base T ethernet hub.

We used one XBOX system link cable and three patch cables.

Would upgrading to a 10/100 hub help?

We don't have broadband so we are stuck with cables and hubs. Could someone let me know if a new technology hub would help?

Thanks!

I've only seen your everyday 10/100 hub being used and nothing else for lan games.
You should probably investigate picking up a hub now.

You are always going to experience some lag on LAN, especially with 13 players on a small map. Unless the lag is really bad, I doubt the 10/100 will do that much

Now that you mention it, we didn't notice any lag at Blood Gulch or Sidewinder. Lag was worst on the small maps. Thanks for the help!
