I saw this game on sale for 9.95 at blockbuster. I rented it a long time ago. It has great graphics. It's supposed to be super-hard. That doesn't really bother me; if I like a game I'll keep playing it no matter how hard it is. Does anyone have this game? What do you think? Should I get it?

I think it's really an underrated game.
I don't know why it got bad reviews.
The graphics are stellar.
I played through the light and the dark side(good and evil) campaign and was sad to see it end.
People complain about the difficulty level, but it was spot on for me.
And for 9.95, that's a bargain.

( this has got to be the most overused smiley.)

The graphics are great, it is very challenging (tho some would say hard) I think that's why so many people were turned off by this game. Personally, I love it, great gameplay, lots of action and it looks and sounds great. Plus, there's different playable characters, and when you beat the "light" quest, you can unlock the "dark" quest and play the badguy and kill all those you saved the first time around. I would give it a 9 out of 10. If you like "midevil" hack and slash, you will love Enclave.

Okay, I got it. Holy cow, these are some of the best graphics I have ever seen. I forgot it looked so good. And I never saw the demo of the later levels when I rented it. I really think these may be the best graphics on xbox. Man, what an underrated game. I'm glad I got it. I hope the sequel doesn't suffer in graphics quality because they are developing it for all 3 systems. This game is a work of art. Thanks for the advice, guys.

I agree, Enclaves graphics are (arguably) the best I've seen on the Xbox. High quality stuff, that's for sure. The gameplay is kick *ss too....especially when you fight the "fire" giant (sorry...no spoiler intended) ...he is awesome...enjoy the game...I did, more than once.

It might be worthwhile for under $10. In my hour or two with the game, I'd give it a 7/10. But even if it were worth $10--or more--why buy it when there are so many other games that are significantly better? You only have so many hours a day to game, so you have to be selective.

You can still shake a stick with cause it's really worth even isn't under 10 $.

The reason why the game got bad reviews is because the game is far too repetitive. You see an enemy and you hack 'n' slash your way through a level. I agree with you guys, the game was hard. I had trouble completing the game and then I gave up. After a month later I tried it again and I got it right.

How is it RPG-wise? Do your stats and such get better, are there shops, can you name your character? Or is it more like Otogi, where there is a small variety of upgrades and all you do is hack and slash through each level?

You have a lot more choices in Enclave.
For example, there are many different types of characters to play as. You can also select many different types of weapons, Bow, crossbow, magic, melee and different types of magic and ammunition.
I enjoyed Enclave far more than Otogi(camera issues among other things).

If you ask me, practically any game is worth $10. I remember a lot of people on here really enjoying the game and glad they bought it. I haven't heard anything about the game for a long time...until now. I guess if you're into RPG/Action Adventure that this is a good one to purchase....I mean $10? Nice...

just got past the escorting Marcus level! woohoo! Hey, can someone who's gotten to the dark campaign tell me, are the levels repeats of the light campaign missions or are they new? Are the enemies new? Please explain the differences/similarities.

The dark campaign is a lot different, not the same at all.
It's been a while since I've played so I can't go into great detail, but as I recall you're battleing the members of the Light who you were playing as previously.

Very cool! I read somewhere else that it was the "opposite" of the light campaign so I thought that might mean repeated levels. This must be a very long game. Pretty darn good for 10 bucks! Thanks Crayman.

I don't know if it's because I am tired or what, but I can't understand what you just said :)

Anyways, for 10 bucks you can't go wrong.

The game got bad reviews only because of it's save points, they were to far apart causing you to replay the whole level if you fcuked up.

What happened to Enclave 2? Bankrupt?

this game has terrible graphics. I dont know what you guys are talking about. They use a third person "trick" to make it seem like things are rezed up, a lot. Go into first person mode, and look at any object.

Still think the graphics are good?

*sigh*

I had such high hopes for this game. Really! It was one of the reasons i gave koopa to even get an xbox. it was really ambitious! supposedly you could shoot the weapon of your enemies hand. and the multiplayer LAN battles were supposed to be amazing! there was also supposed to be character classes you could choose from to annihilate each other.

Then they announced that nothing is in realtime.

Then they announced that they have to can multiplayer and all chances at live.

then they announced a gamecube version.

When i played the game, i got really mad at the fact that there were no save points or check points. And every thing was BAM your dead! one hit KO surprises lied around every corner.

Yea, i played through the light and dark campaigns, but this game could have been soo much more.

it deserved the reviews it got. I sure hope enclave 2 is on the right track, especially when it comes to multiplayer (which i heard it will have).....

You're the first person I've seen who said this game had poor graphics. Even in the reviews I read that were mostly negative commended the excellent graphics.

And I have no idea what you mean by using third person to trick people into thinking the resolution is higher. That's a new one.

And the graphics look fine in first person mode. I clearly remember looking at the caged goblin in the ship and marveling at how good it looked.

And why would the fact that they announced a GC port (I don't think this ever materialized) of the game have any effect on what you thought of it?

Enclave is a hardcore niche game. Only hardcore gamers need apply. IT definately felt like an old school kind of game. It could have been truly great, but forcing players to replay an entire board over and over from the begining was a bad decision. Imagine how much fun Halo would have been if you had to restart a level every time you died.

Thecovenant, you need to get your eyes checked. The graphics are great, definitely some of the best on xbox. And I am not really minding that it makes me play the whole board over. I am up for the challenge.
