Whats with clans

I know iam going to sound stupid here but how dose this clans thing work

you get in a clan... set up matches on some sites like teamcompete and your team gets ranked.... its a way to have more serious matches where you work as a team more like swat would kinda thing... instead of goin off and doin your own thing in optimach or somethin

There are certainly arguments for and against them, but I prefer being in one.

Like it was mentioned, you can join ranked ladders and all.

The main reason for me was to play better quality games. Sure, I still play in public games all the time, but it's always nice to play when it counts. Plus, for the most part, the clans are better players. They get together, practice, communicate. There are certainly exceptions, and there are some horrible clans out there, but if you shop around, usually you can find one that suits you.

Going solo is always an option, but come match time, you're left out while your friends play.

Remember though that it is somewhat of a commitment. If you like to just play when you feel like it, then it may not be for you.

If you play frequently then a clan could be a good idea. If you play once and a while or you dont play much, then a clan might not be for you.

If you have a couple of friends who play online then start one up. Just register it on team compete

i like the clan just cause of the teamwork involved and organization
