What did you guys think of the halo 2 documentary on the OXM disc?

Besides being too short, they really didn't go into depth on anything at all. At first I thought it would be a feature on Marty Odonnell and his music for Halo 2 but it quickly changed to something else and then changed again and again without really telling you anything new. Felt more like a commerical than anything else. It may or may not have had a handful of scenes that haven't been seen before, but nothing to get too exited about.

Making it look even worse was that there were two very informative pieces on the new Bioware game that actually contained lots of gameplay footage and featured commentary on what you were seeing.

Oh well. Hopefully in the next few months of publicity blitzing they'll give us something worth watching.

Personally, I liked the documentary...it just goes to show the type of effort that is going into making Halo 2. I find it fascinating.

Dude, it's just a preview of the full "Making of Halo 2" documentary. It's also been out since June.

A little OT here, but what demo's are on the disk?

Doom3-- Came in the mail last friday

Star Wars fan-- Makes sense that it was a preview for a longer feature. Wonder why it took so long to put it on the OXM disc.

Maximus-- What can I say. I'm a cranky, unnapreciative jerk.

Sleazy-- James Bond, Amped 2, Carve, Links 2004, the Suffering, Wrath Unleashed, and playable over live were Wolfenstein and Crimson Skies

Strange thing, none of the demos (that I bothered trying) worked correctly.

If you go to xbox.com, they have the Halo E3, and documentary videos there, both are truly amazing IMO.

You can see the Halo trailers at www.gametrailers.com with good resolution in QuickTime or Windows Media Player. But I would rather just watch it on DVD from my Halo Original Soundtrack.:p
