Man u know that trailor that shows like an actual lvl for the game. They should make a demo like that lvl cause i wanna play halo2 is baaaad!!!

That wasn't an actual level. It was made to show a little sample of the gameplay and show off graphics. Use your head. Do you think a level is gonna be that short? I don't think so. Notice how the Brute was so easy to kill? It is because Bungie wanted to show off the Brute even though they weren't finished with the Brutes. And I heard a few people actually got to play the sample.

Why would they spend all that time on a level thats not even in the game? Im sure that is just the beginning of a level, and that isn't the whole level, because if you remember the last halo, all of the levels took about 45 minutes.

They used existing geometry from the final level to make that one. The final level is much longer.

Bungie has a lot of tricks :)

That was only the very first part of that level, if you remember from the end (when the elites drop), they still hadn't made it to
the cruiser. BUt it is an actual level, that was being played by a guy from Bungie, it wasn't just a vid.

I knew it wasn't just a vid. Of course it was live gameplay. I was just wondering if it would really make it to the game or not.

It hasn't been delayed. There was never a date before now, so you can't push back a non-existent release date. I thought you knew this already.

That's sort of half true. The world was told in the fall of 2001 that halo two would be available by christmas 2003. Who told the world? Microsoft. So we can hardly blame Bungie, who probably only gave MS a guesstimate, not intending for MS to publish it.

Besides, doubtlessly there were internal dates set by the developers, unbeknowest to us. Like any creative project, the things tend to fall back and back and back. Just because they never publicly made a release estimate, doesn't mean they didn't have them internally. Do you really think Ed Fries, when he comes around to see what all his little preciouses are up to, would be satisfied with, "it'll be done when it's done"? Yeah right. He's willing to give them all the time they need, but you can rest assure he has continuos updates on the game's progress.

well yeah that cant be the whole level :P I just mean that like part of the vid they showed. They could use that as the demo for us to play or something. But didnt someone say it was gonna come out in april but then microsoft said they didnt like the multiplayer so its delayed to fall =/

They should not release a demo, only the actual game. A demo of Halo 2 can be released, but only after the actual game is released. I know all of you can't wait and you're all anticipated, but would it not be better to play the full game the first time?

The only demo they will probably have is a playable level at E3 in May. If they don't do that they will show a movie. If they don't do that then they won't be at E3.

Electronic Entertainment Expo in the middle of May for 3 days I think. just go to www.e3.com and look up the dates.

Honestly, I would be surprised if Bungie released any sort of demo for Halo 2 unless it was a demo that was released AFTER the game so more people would buy it. That's just my opinion...it's wishful thinking, of course...
