Halo 2 officially pushed back to fall 2004

So remember last year when we told you we don't announce release dates until we're confident we'll meet our deadline? Well now were confident. Halo 2 will ship in Fall, 2004. Please make a note of it.

Wow they have officially pushed it back MORE than a year. They originally said that they wanted it to come out in the summer of 2003. Now its a year and a half later. Well at least they make it good. I was kinda still hoping 2 more months.

Same here. In a way i was hoping it would be delayed...AGAIN just so i have enough time to beat my other games first then Ninja Gaiden and then have enough room for Halo 2. But still, it is sad it has been delayed for over a year and an half.

Halo 2 has never been delayed. Bungie never released an official release date until now. You can't delay a game without a release date.

Anyone who thinks they said otherwise is gullible.

u know, i jsut thought of a good point for bungie releasing it in the fall. with all the preorders out there, over 300,000, bungie prolly needs some time to get more a million copies ready to launch so nobody wont get dissapointed in not getting one on launch day. well im not sure but it seemed to make sense to me, aside from releasing it later by having more time to make it better.

probally another reason. I just want to play the damn game because I'm sick of practicing XBC. Halo 2 will be so diffrent. I think I will be able to sneak up on people better. I just wanna use the battle rifle. I think it will have the same effect as the PSG in Rainbow. I think it will kill in 2 shots but does anyone else think it will be bolt action?

It's a full auto that fires slower than the assault rifle.

Actually it's power/accuracy is between the pistol and the assault rifle, but that might be changed between back in May of '03 and Fall '04.

First of all, there was never a release date sure but is there one now? Fall is not a date, it's a season. Second of all, EB has it listed as coming out on 09-02-04. BS again! They will never quit. I will know the game is out when everyone else does. And do you know when that is boys and girls? When you walk into your local game store and it's on the damn shelf.:cuss:

Then it would have been out for a month or so or ready because they would have already been sold out for a month. I can imagine them getting sick and tired of being asked do you have halo2.:D
