I am fairly new to R63 and have recently gotten on Live and I am just looking for some newbies to play with to hone "our" skills. I am just getting tired of playing with people who've been playing since release and know all of the "tricks" and have memorized all of the maps. So... if you are a Noob and would like to get a bunch of Noobs together to play with, reply to this post, please.
My take on this...
The only way to get better is to play with better people. When you die, observe their best players tactics. (check stats, look at their kill to death ratio)
Also, you can create your own server, set it for 2 people and appear offline. Feel free to walk arounf and learn the maps like this.

JJaX has something there. It's basically how I learned. Also, a word of advice....don't rush. Try and be as careful as you can at first. Take your time, practice your aim, learn both what weapons work for you and how the map's are layed out.
And try and stay alive. Usually, this means to keep moving, take cover, and learn to lean and zoom. Don't worry so much about kills at first. The longer you live, the more actual experience you get w/ the maps. It's just not the same watching somebody else play.
Of course, my ratio is terrible, so you might want to ignore my advice. :p
Leaning is the difference between being a noob and a vet.
LEAN around corners!!!!!

aslo, noobs tend to call that wall glitching bc they do not know how to do it. if they read the manual that says to use the directional pad to lean.
anyway, learn the map and practice ur shooting and to stay alive more, lean alot and move around. lastly, dont hold the trigger, fire in burst mode bc u'll get more accurate shots this way.

Which is a complete joke. Its like a main function in the game. Its almost like saying going prone in GR is cheating...

Thanks for the replies w/the hints... I am doing the lean and zoom, but it's still a little tough staying alive when playing against people that have been playing since release. I guess my main problem is just learning the maps...I think I'll try that walking around thing...

The guys above pretty much told you your best bets to getting better. Also, like they said, if you get killed fast...find the best player on your team and watch through their eyes to see how they are playing. A lot of it isn't even how much you know about the game as it is how good a shot you are.

Hah! Ya you are!! ;)
Just play with people who are good and you will learn. I started out in December playing with a lot of like what is now Syndicate and it helped me. If you play noobs, you copy their ways. If you play vets, you copy their ways. I actually found myself following No Fear alot, in the beginning many times to my death. Since he is such an aggressive player, it wasn't very good for me since I sucked. So word of advice, don't follow No Fear :)

its good to play vs other noobs at first or like they sayed by urslef for a while so that you can get used to the maps and stuff. After that i just played with good people and watching them made me better... it also gave me a .38 ratio that i worked up to .51 ratio untill the stats reset now im a 1.30. If i were you i would use a 2 free month to play with for a while since there all up in march i belive so just use it not to practice then when you start ding good go back to the main account.

No Fear 23 seems to be pretty good indeed... ranked nr. 288 (out of more then 50.000 players) on the sharpshooter-leaderboard !

here is my take on it, quit acting like a little ***** and get raped. "I only want to play aginst sorry people like me, so that I can build up my confidence and feel better about myself." Want a confidence booster?? Go kick a puppy.... want a play a real man's game where u gotta think and have skills.. pikc up a stick and play some RS3

sharpshooter leaderboard? are u sure? i havent played in that yet since the stats got reset. all i've been playing is team survival and i was in the top 50 for a while until everybody's score jumped over 1,800 elo. im sure im ranked around 200-400 out of over 60,000 players.

How do you lean then if not using the D-Pad ?

No fear is saying people accuse others of cheating because they lean, but its part of the game, its in the manual.
What dont you understand?

Oh... I see.
At first I thought there was another way besides using the D-pad to peep around corners, but i understand that's not the case...:D
