I have bought Links 2004 in November and it gave me an error message saying the disk was dirty or damaged. I cleaned it several times, and brought it back after nothing worked. Then I bought a new xbox....and the same thing happened. I have now returned the game since it won't work, but I really love it. What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you go online and download the new patch for Links? Its an auto-update when you log into LIve via Links.

That should eliminate most of the DDE's. But doesnt mean you still couldnt occassionally get one. I would actually wait and deal with the DDE's right now, because it sounds like MS willbe rolling back the update. And be releasing another in the future. When? No one actually knows.

Thanks for the advice. Since I don't have the game anymore, I'll have to go back out to the store and purchase it again. The only update I have downloaded was when I first downloaded the $4.99 course download. I don't know if the auto update was included or not, but I think I'll buy it again and give it one last shot. Thanks for your help!

Sometimes this happens from a bad game file - delete your save file for the game and then try it again.

Btw, wouldn't it have been cheaper to just go buy a new game rather than a new Xbox?
