I rented links 2004 and I love it. Except when I went on live I was unable to find a single game going. All the optimatch options were set to any and yet i still couldn't find a single game. Are there really so few people who have this game/play this game on live? If this is a common case then I won't bother buying it......

Every time I play it on XBL, there's tons of people playing it...maybe you got on really late or something...like 4:00am...lol

Yeah same here. Just like Maxy said, I find people all the time to play. Depends on what level difficulty you may be playing at. There are a lot of leagues and ladders forming out there. You may want to look into those for solid competition and fun.

Did you get the latest update that was released for Links? This may have been the problem. But you can always create a game and leave it Public and I'm sure some people will find your game.

There was problems with the friends list and XSN scoring but that was fixed with the latest patch.

Also - if you're going to buy this game, we're running a 10 week tour on www.ddclive.com - winner of the tour gets a free game ;)

I bought this game today. Ive played online a lot in the few days i rented it and was thoroughly destroyed every time. I'm sure my stats are sorry.....I'd stay offline through the champ tour to get competitive online......but it's just so much more fun online!!!! Great game....my first console golf game. I've also noticed it's the perfect game to drink to. Being tore up when playing counterstrike is just begging for an ass kickin.

Yeah, spent a few nights w/ the drinky drink and links.

Be careful though, some people take too freaking long to finish a hole. There is danger of falling asleep.

Of course there's casper. He just passes out while the next hole is loading.

did yall pay the 4.99 for the new course? Seems like a huge drag that you have to pay, but I understand a ton of work goes into it. I also heard it's the best if not one of the best courses in the game. I'll prolly buy it when I get better.

To me $4.99 is a small price to pay for a bad ass new course :)

It did suck that being it was the first DL it costed - but it's the best course on the game honestly. I'm getting into a few tours on XSN now that it's working and am still having a blast with it

I still think it's stupid that you gotta pay for that extra course... :(
Certainly since there aren't that many courses available in the game itself...
In other games like GRIT, plenty of new downloads were available for free !

I rented it and loved it and just ordered it online last week I should have it as by next Monday. If anyone wants to play on Live just add me to your friends list and we will get together and play some golf.
