For gods sake please mention that the interact controllers buttons are horrible. For example, when you tap the x,y,a,b buttons nothing happens. You always have to press it hard for it to do something. It is especially evident when playing halo and youre trying to reload or change guns. And in fever when youre trying to lob a throw.

I would love to see the same kind of review for the steering wheels.

Stephen...it looks like a great effort and the idea for having XBox addicts like ourselves is very informational.

Though, I am curious where some of the other 3rd party XBox controllers are? Do you plan on adding them when you get more information or time to do so?

Keep up the great work! Great idea, though, I am very biased in purchasing only genuine Microsoft controllers...it's just a personal preference.

Alboogy, I've added it to the con, on the interact controller....I had the same problem..

Maximus, yes, we plan on adding them as they come.

I am glad that its not only my controller. You should see the mad scramble to get the 3 microsoft controllers when playing halo multiplayer.

ok, I checked it out. Once again, Xboxaddict has came through for their members. Honestly, I would not care if one of any 3rd party controller was better than Microsofts. I, as im sure most gamers just stick with the original ones.
True the others are cheaper ($10.00) than the offical controller, but ever since my gaming origin I have stuck with the basic ones.
You see, im not advising anyone not to give the other controllers a shot, im just saying if I go over a friends house and he has the original I want that one too. Most people wont think it's fair if both or more players use different controllers. Ya know.:)
And most gamers are already gonna have the Microsoft brand since one already comes with the system.

One drawback for the Thrustmaster controller:

If it only has one memory slot I assume it means you cannot have a memory card and a voice commander plugged in at the same time. Am I right?

With the home entertainment initiatives announced at CES I would hesitate to buy any controller that didn't meet or exceed the specs already put out by Microsoft. You never know what they're going to come up with that will require multiple slots.

Yes, controllers are relatively inexpensive to replace but I wouldn't want to get used to the layout of the Thrustmaster only to replace it once some nifty accessory came out that required the second slot.

You should add this controller to the mix:

no other controller out there on the market has really impressed me like the original XBOX controller. I love the feel of the controller and love the way the feel of it is. So far I've tried 3 diff controllers but im sticking to the original one.

lol, dude...I don't recall off-hand. You could right click the picture and select properties to check out the URL..or you could go to a search engine and type in "Saitek XBox Controller" or something :)

The second one is by Pelican

I agree 100%...but, you have to admit, the Pelican controller looks amazing with the transparent green with the big black "X" over the entire face of it :D Ah, but, looks can be deceiving ;) I agree, the genuine XBox controllers are the best and worth the extra cash.

Go and check the fallowing wbsite :

www.saitekusa.com

They have the controller that Maximus displayed on the last page. They have it as the REAL controller and not a picture. It looks very wide but extremely cool........... wow look at that !!!! They call it the ADRENALIN PAD :D

I have one of the Mad Catz pads, and I like it a lot. It is more comfortable than the X-box one. With the official, my hands sometimes get tired of holding it. Not so with the Mad Catz one. I would be using it all the time if the analog controls were tighter. The analog controls are a bit too loose for Halo, for instance, least for me. It is a great controller if you don't wanna shell out the extra cash for the official.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but that sweet looking pelican is as flakey as yo momma's dandruff. My good friedn got 3 of them and every one has died within a week of when we started using them... even the replacements. Evetually, he went back to the normal controls.

I have heard similar stories about the Pelican. They are, undoubtably, some of the coolest looking of the XBox controllers, but, I understand that they are manufactured very poorly. I think I have only heard of one person that has had no issues with theirs and absolutely loves it. So, I guess we'll see :)

Personally I'm waiting for an original XboX Japan controller.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that I read somewhere that they would be selling them on ebay as soon as they come out.

If any one knows of any other way to purchase one please tell!!

i already have 4 black ones. I think they are just fine. I don't think you look at the controller while you are playing so it doesn't really matter what color they are;)

That controller IS excellent!
Will it work with the Xbox?
Like 2 player action for DOA3?

I have the InterAct one also, and the responsiveness for the analog buttons is pathetic. Try playing DOA3 with that :(

The Pelican (or whatever the company name is) controller is called the X-Wing. I heard its a piece of junk...

what about the Thrustmaster Upad or the Gamester Vortex? I'd like to know about the sensativity of those and others...I have 2 original controllers and the InterAct Power Pad...i'd like something different, and yet something that works well.
