Would somebody mind explaining the logic behind these reviews?

[Everything of Nothing 8.8]
Everything or Nothing is a really great game--perhaps the best James Bond game ever made. - Jeff Gerstmann

[Goldeneye 007 9.8]
GoldenEye is the type of game N64 owners have been waiting for since they finished Mario 64. - Jeff Gerstmann

The same guy, giving a lower score to EoN, yet its perhaps the best Bond game? Well, anyways. Point being, if its made by EA it won't be better than RARE's Goldeneye 007.

I may get it when the price drops but I just hate that they made it third person. The demo was ok but I didnt like locking on to targets GTA style.

It's quite simple about the 3rd person and auto lock. EA for some of the past Bond games couldn't make the controls right so they blame the console gamer of being skillless. With some of the other FPS on XBox, GC and PS2 I'd say I've improved my aiming skills a lot and find it insulting for them to say I can't shoot. :cuss: :watchout:

I thought the demo looked nice, but, I didn't get a chance to play it. I only had 5 minutes to see it in action...and two dudes were playing cooperative split screen...it was pretty cool.

GameSpot, along with every other gaming website and/or magazine, rate titles in relation to every other game (perhapes in the same genre, too) on the platform. I understand EoN getting an 8.8 by Gamespot when compared to Halo. Other than that, I've never seen the game in action, I've never seen any screenshots for it, and I haven't heard of it until Koopa brought it up last week.

I'll rent it.

From the demo I played, its a 7.5-8.0 in my book. I wasn't impressed at all, and the lock on system is terrible.
