Golden eye set the standard for shooter games on gaming systems. #1 in game trends: great game, perfect dark was a turn down.Halo to me has been the second game to set a standard. Lots of people want golden eye to be known as the best shooter of all time. Best game for the 90's. But its a new era, halo is the new golden eye. Halo has set the standards high, its going to take a lot for the second one to be better. Everything the first one did the second one has two do double. Will see what bungie has in store for us.

Bungie will make Halo 2 everything that Halo was supposed to be, and more. Halo 2 will be the best thing since oxygen.

I thought Perfect Dark was great but still not better than Goldeneye.

Hopefully Rare can make Perfect Dark before the end of this year. I'd really like to see Bungie and Rare to compete for the best FPS on Xbox. Hopefully there will be on Xbox Next PD3 and Halo 3. :D

Perfect Dark: Zero will be on Xbox 2.

I hope it does but like Bungie, Rare has kept very quiet with it's progress/info.:( . What if PD Zero becomes the sleeper hit of the year and rivals Halo 2?:watchout: Something to think about.:D :cheers:

Golden Eye was good, but, I still don't think it ever could hold a candle to Halo...and especially not Halo 2.

Halo stepped up the bar for FPSs far more than Golden Eye did, IMO.

I had a lot more fun with Turok's multi-player (N64) than I did with the Golden Eye multi-player...just by the sheer fact that Turok had some crazy ass weapons and was gory as hell :D

Goldeneye was very fun and still is to this day, but Halo revolutionized FPS with its contols and gameplay, it raised the bar once more, and so far, no game has been able to match it(in my opinion).

Oh yeah, Rare hasn't said anything passed, "Perfect Dark: Zero" about Perfect Dark: Zero, so don't look for it anytime soon, although I would love to have it. It has a feature that I hope Halo 2 has: profile stat tracking.

What about Half Life? I thought the original one was excellent and the sequel will end up just as hot as the first one. Why have none of you mention that?

even better than sex??? i dunno man.... (not that i no, im only fourteen :p )

so that would make it 2nd best, at the most... and there is NO DEBATING about it

What if you did both at the same time?

P.S. Half-life was good (it got GotY), but so did Halo, I wasn't a big fan of HL.
