Halo 2's gfx

We all know the gfx Halo 2 will sport. I'm just asking do you think they can compete with Doom 3 or not. I try and see the big differences and I just get a migrane but very pleasing to the eyes. What do you guys think?

I think Doom 3 has better graphics than Halo 2. I hate the way MC looks in that Halo 2 multiplayer pic :(

I guess I just like the style of Halo 2, I like the more futuristic way of Halo 2. So I think just because of that I like Halo 2 better. But both are very very good.

I say Halo 2...but, that's because I'm a die hard fan of Halo. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big DOOM fan as well...but, it's really tough to say at this point since neither one of the games are in any of our XBoxes.

Screenshots are not the best way to determine a game's graphics especially since games are in motion when we're playing. They give us a great idea, however, the game has to be in motion to accurately provide a final judgement.

The thing is, the screens that you're seeing ofr Doom 3 right now are for the PC version so they are naturally going to be better detailed than on Xbox. Halo will always beat out Doom in content tho, just look at the guns (and their animations), I think Doom's s pretty terrible right now compared to Halo 2. (btw, that second halo pic is my desktop)

Mine too. :cheers: I really hope I can get an HDTV by the time Halo comes out. This game looks like it's meant to be played in hi-res.:D

In the weekly updates it seems like the animators are putting a lot of work into the well.... animation.


I am having writers block right now and can't think what to type, but halo 2 looks to have awsome animation.

i agree.. I didn't like how blue the mc was in the multiplayer pic... but i still loved the game, and the graphix... HALO2
