Thats right. I think I'm gonna. I can't emphasize enough about how much I loved the prequel to this game and now parents come out with all this sh*t about how I can't get "M" rated games. I need to be able to get this game!! Anyone have any advice to get them to give up with all this sh*t. I spent about 300, yes 300 hours on just the multiplayer on the first game! With it's LIVE capabilties I can only imagine. I mean I think I'm "mature" enough considering I used to won like 10 "m" rated games before they came out with all this crap.

Just have an older friend buy it for you.

I could do that but then I couldn't play it on LIVE till I get a wireless. (MY hookup is on our downstairs tv)

(Which is totally untrue but it is believable)

You could just have your parents or an older friend buy it, then you could still use Live.

Unless your parents are wierd like that and won't let you play M rated games.

But anyways, if your parents are like that, I feel very sorry for you.

Actually, other parents can since its law (at least where I live) that anyone who wants to buy an M rated game must show ID to prove they are 18, even to rent one.

Yeah, I'd say that 300+ on any video game for a hardcore gamer isn't too much of an exaggeration. You'll have to excuse us addicts.

Don't even joke about killing yourself!

...kill your parents.

Seriously though, as others have mentioned, just tell them that you fight against aliens in order to save the Earth. I'd go as far as to tell them every last intricate detail about the game and bore them to death with it. Have you offered to show them the first game? It's not that vulgar... I mean the blood is blue forcryin'outloud!

Rofl, thats a good one Yankz.

Dude, just show your parents Halo, show them Splinter Cell, and then they'll realize which game is truly the more violent one. I'd suppose Splinter Cell is onyl rated Teen because you can go almost the entire game without an encounter.

Splinter Cell isnt as bloody and as gory as Halo. It just has blood spray every once in a while whereas Halo sort of spills it all over:p

Now he plays them on a regular basis, which meas I can play them too plus he convined my mother that they're alright so now I can play ANY GAME!!!

I never thought so. Even when me and my friends still play, i still don't see how its M rated (even though you are killing people). I just don't think the blood is that realistic.

get one of those cd label makers, get a older friend to buy it, or order it online, and with a little photoshop work, you can change the M to a T, and just "lose" the box if needed

Yeah I used to get that when I was younger, there are a few tricks to get away with it.

You can get them to order the mature games through amazon where depending on how regularly they use it, it's possible to easily scroll past the age limit. Not very honest, no, so don't do it unless your really desperate. (I did it a few times)
And there's always the risk of them noticing and them yelling at you.

Depending on what your parents are like, you can just tell them how you feel full on. I did it with my mom, basicaly I said I'm not intrested in the sort of games and movies I used to be and more intrested in 18's and Matures. I chipped in "they don't effect me, I'm not going to copy them or anything, I know the difference from right and wrong" blah blah, and she basicaly said fine. And that day got me GTA for the PC.
What a mom :D

And of course, just go get a tall friend to buy it for ya.

This kind of thing is really irritating. Parents can be real ...( cant think of a clean word to insert here) ... sometimes. I personally never had too much trouble with it, but then i wasnt playin the games in the lounge on the widscreen TV. Let me ask u this though - are they quite happy to let u watch R rated movies? If so then ask them what the difference is!!

Actually ya, I can watch must R rated movies, they say the difference is that you control "the crazy son of a *****" in a game and you just watch him in a movie

Well, if they are real (un-clean word) as you think, then they would stop you from watching the movies too and then you'd be real screwed.

Well that's a good idea expect for the fact if you scatch up the face of the disk it's ruined & can't be repaired. Right under that face of the disk is where all the info is stored so unfortuantly that idea won't work. Sorry
