You have to open the safe upstairs, get the book and then place it on the altar downstairs.
Can you open the safe?

The answer is in the journal in the same room. It's on the table. But anyways:

The combo is 1-2-2-7. I think you start off turning it to the left, then turn it to the right, then turn it to the right, then turn it to the left. So in the end it is:

turn it right to 1, turn it left to 2, turn it left to 2, turn it right to 7.

i've completed ninja gaiden twice, one on hard and the other on normal, it's an easy game. where exactly are u on the monastery

I dunno, da game feels much more rewarding when you do it yourself. I felt it was a straight forward, and had just enough clues to get you to da next step/chapter.

Im just looking forward to Master Tourney 2 starting June 4th! :hump:

btw, da game aint hard, it's just not a button-masher like most action games.
Gaiden is da greatest Action game and best Xbox title other than Halo, ya herrred me mang! ;)

I finished the game 6 times and found all 50 scarabs. Now I want to finish all 3 classic Ninja Gaiden. For any help regarding this game contact me! Oh yeah... nice picture Ninja Scroll!
