I don't know if everyone knows about this site yet, but I don't think I've ever looked forward to a site going up as much as I have for this one! I think it's about time to post some questions to the creators of the place...

Is it going to be a clan ladder similar to Team Compete or just a place for clans to meet and challenge eachother??? I know that you guys will be hosting clan forums and all that... We need detials... DETAILS!!!

Til Chaotic getts to this, I'll put my words in now.

For those that know of Team Compete, or at least have heard about it - it's a site for clans - or non clan members - to compete on a huge ladder and see what team or member is the best. This ranges throughout all XBL games, but have the highest popularity in RS3, CS, GR and Sport games.

TC's site, though, is molasses and is not user friendly one bit. So the Syndicate is going to come up with a way to top it - we have someone working on a homemade ladder script and LynxFX working on the front page for us (I believe - haven't heard from him in a bit). Once this is setup, we're going to launch with a RS3 tourney :)

Features of the site incl -

Vbulletin 3 forums - many new features on this new forum software that will provide full interactivity talking within the community
Full out competition using the ladder scripts to challenge teams
flash games on the forums
custom skins for each clan to use in the forums
forums made for each clan -they will have their own section on the site basically
Each team will have a leader and 2 cohorts to help them out with scheduling

There's alot more - but I'm a bit groggy right now - any questions (besides that it will launch within the month hopefully)

...probably the best people to give you an overview are Casper, Chaotic Mage, and Jafo232 or just Jafo... they probably have the best overall knowledge of the site...

I want to be the first to sign up! It sounds so damn awesome... I'm crapping my pants with excitment as we speak!

Anyway, are non clan members going to be able to access clan forums? Is each clan going to be limited to only one forum? Who will be doing these custom clan skins??

I gotta change my undies.

Anyone will be able to access the site but the specfic forums based for each clan will only be accessable by those clan members. The site will be a clan ladder, that's a portion of the site we are waiting on. Then the main front page will start to get made. The forums are pretty much complete with a few things that need to be added on.


More updates soon!

Hopefully i'll be able to work on the forums a lot more next week so i can say they are 100% complete. I would say they are about 90% complete.

Non clan members will NOT be able to access the clan forums or even see them, so it won't cluster the forum page - ladder/challenges discussions will be in another section in the forum.

As far as the skins go (and team banner), we could give the team a skin pack to have them make their own skins or we can do them - we will be totally overwhelmed by making skins, so we would like to have their team do one if possible. We have 3 skins up right now that are kick ass.

Soon son - soon - I'll put up a screen shot of the skins that we have now - so u can drool :)

Just curious...what kind of rights do each clan have? I mean...basically they are putting their trust into this forum that what they say will not be read by anybody but them...


Will they have to worry about mods? Will this be their own forum? Will they have to pay a small fee to use the forum? How does this work?

They won't have to worry about anyone but Admins - like here at XBA - there's stuff that you guys can't see that I can - which is what I'll be doing with the permissions.

As far as the fees - none required, but we will be seeking donations to help with bandwidth.

If a team complains that they think someone is viewing their forums, me or Chaotic will look into it -but we're the only admins and it will stay that way.

i beleive the members of the clan will moderate their own section of the forums and only the admin of the site like casper or chaotic can check in every once in a while to make sure nothing fishy is going on, but agian, i dont know much about it.

Yes, but I already spoke to Stephen about this and he had no problem with it - at least I went through the proper steps to do it.

Of course it's okay with Stephen. All of these clans/sites are basically other names for XBA.

Back in the CSX days Stephen linked my site, it was advertized inn the chat for a week straight... Plus I can put a link to my clan site in my sig, which sticks with me every post, so I'm pretty happy with that :D

...the answer I keep getting from the Contractors is two weeks... I am heard someone talking about this Saturday but I think that is rumor... you never know with these cats... but hit up Chaotic Mage Casper or Jafo for the latest... (then again this could al be inyour head)
