I think stats are a pretty accurate means of seeing who is good and who isnt good.

It does track your Kills to death...

But some individuals feel the need to quit when they die, so the round isnt tracked.

So next time you see someone with a 3.0 ratio, watch him leave the room when he dies.

well, you cant blame me playing with n00bs in many random server that i join bc my skillz are better then thiers. For some reason, you seem jealous of my stats. ;) (otherwise you wouldnt have made this thread, calling me a stat whore)

so you say i quit whenever i play with you guys? thats not the reason you think i quit for. i quit bc i had hw, or its getting late, or i just dont feel like playing. most of the time we are always playing late.

i honestly dont care about my stats and i guess im just lucky to
have a decent stat. my ratio just wont drop down below 2.0 and its been in the 2.60's since the reset of the stats.

Quitting when you die is "cheating" the system, and gives a inaccurate measure of talent.

your thinking of the wrong reason bro...i dont quit when i die..but in a way i do...but i dont mean to do that to aviod this thing going to my stats. mainly i have some other stuff to do and i just quit right away after my last match and when i die, i dont want to wait around in observer mode when im not even playing. i've seen you done that numerous times (quiting right after you die), but i dont call you a stat whore for that...mmmm, should i?

Only time i ever quit and comeback is if the room isnt full and i team kill somone being an ass to avoid the penalty.

In a way I agree and disagree. My stats suck ass but its because i Havent played in a while and when I do i dont play serious. But when I do I can take out anyone examples: Clan matchs and ddc and gunit challlenges or ask the clan i played with last night.

Man at 1:00 sturday i was on the stuff man. Nuff said

See, the thing is we all know you are good, but your ratio is flawed yo. You join a server we are on and you die....boom you are gone and then I see "available for a game" and then "join" shows up...

I don't give a chit though...as dark enemy said, we are all stat whores....I just wish that everytime you get worked on a server you didn't just quit and find another server. Stick it out and enjoy the game...not the ratio.

it hasnt been as bad as it ussed to be when we first started but i have noticed when uve enetered a room and im in it and even if theres just sometghng slightly wrong and u die, u leave, like kinda like ur blaming it on lag etc...but hey ill admit it ive done it a couple times but mostly when i have to leave or when i team kill someone then i die , then i come back....but yeah...my stats have gone down because of all the smoke outs with dark ,and dark that was some crazy ish on saturday man, u were all messed up..

still playing RS3 after i quit? hell no, i leave it on idle until i finish what i had to do..then i come back and play. i tried to join the server you guys are in most of the time....but im always getting server full, so i went around on random servers...so shut up with this ****..im sorry all this lead you to think that im a stat whore. but whatever, i can prove myself.

I could really give a **** less. Cuz man I sometimes have to catch myself from doing that ****. My ratios is decent and I wanna keep it that way. But I do hate being the first ****er out of the game and having to sit. Sometimes when that happens I may accept an invite to another game just so I dont have to wait. I have found that subconsciously I have been worried about my stats a lot. I almost check it like every other round if not every round. I got issues man. But yeah when I forget about that **** I usually have fun.

I try different weapons and fool around but then when people kill me they start talking **** and then I gota go back to the M16 and D. Eagle and prove I aint no *****.

I dont think anyone can say I just out of games when I die its just .... I dont know its catch 22 when it comes to ratios. People are gonna talk **** if they kill u and u are good oryou get no respect if your ratio is ****ty.

Stats don't mean ****! I play hard when I want to, but usually on weekend nights I don't want to. Goofing around is much funner, and thats what we play the game for, isn't it. Also, having bad stats is a plus for you, because people underestimate you.

ive played wit no fear before and he wasnt bad so i can believe the stats... mine are like that to and the only times ill leave is if the lag is killin me or when my Xbox will just freeze up for a few seconds over and over (its been doin it lots lately any advice how to fix it?? i know its not my connection its somethin else).... but if you wanna see a stat whore look at YourDeadCarcass on the rainbowsix site... he's so pathetic.... every week i see him at the top with like 300-0 kill/death ratio... and if youve ever gone in his server when he is hosting all he uses is 50 cals and grenade launchers at training and shoots through the building from a corner... its pathetic

When I had a home ( :p ) and was on XBL a lot, I noticed some of the Sweets kids doing just that. They'd quit, then join a couple minutes later.

I think it's skanky and shows very little character. Not saying you do it, No Fear, but it's been a while since I've been on.

Personally, I'd never pull that crap. I want you guys to know that I'm about as good at R63 as a piss-drunk quadrapeligic on a handful of quaaludes. That way, when I am actually on fire for that one hour out of 80, you'll be bewildered by my handing out of asses.

As has been said, who gives a crap about stats...they're there to say your good, yes, but a lot of people still goof around and make their stats look worse than they actually are. If you saw my stats 3 weeks ago, they would have given you a ratio of .69 or .7, but now they'll give you a ratio of .83. I think my weekly is up to 1.5 since I'm playing a little harder now. And that's even with my new roommate playing on my account every now and then. And he doesn't even know how to turn yet! HNIC can attest to that as he was in there when he was on Saturday morning! I still remember HNIC yelling at him, "Damn man, move the hell out of the way when we start!" :rofl:

Either way, when I'm in rooms now, I'm easily on par with some of the best it seems like. My ratio may look like hell, but it's going up. And it's not going up against peons who are noobs to the game. It's going up against some of the best guys to play against (IMO).

So, yeah, stats are nice, but I think it comes down to not only your stats, but who you play against and how good you are able to do against those players who are 'better' (and whether or not you screw around in your free time) to determine the actual quality of the player on live.

see I have seen people who barely have 1.0 ratios do good as **** in clan matches. YOu could be a strong team player. SOmetimes I get too team minded. I expect my team to watch my back nd cover certainw ays when they dont I get ****ED up. SOits hard to turn that ME ME ME point of view off if you are a good player all by yourself and vice versa is you are a team player and now you gotta fend for yourself.

i leave the room when i play my last match, not to aviod the stat thing, but that i have other stuff to do like eating dinner, doing homework, chores around the house, etc.. and when im done with this ****, i come back on to play agian. i quit for good reasons and none of the reasons are related to stats.(would you rather wait in observer mode after you die when your mom is yelling at you to pick up your room and take the dogs out? lol) come on man, its just not my style to do that. im sorry i led ya'll to thinking im a stat whore. thats all i can say now, and it is no lies.

Well, just in case some of you did not recognize it last night and the past couple of nights (since this was brought to no fear's attention), No Fear stayed on after several times he died, so I am thinking he may not have been fully aware of what he was doing until it was brought to his attention.
