New game releases are always on a tuesday with very few excpetions. The only time they make exception to the industry standard is when it works hand in hand with a certain date or a movie or event.

Worked in a software distribtuion warehouse for many years and this was always the case. Shipped all west coast on Monday and 1 day points on Tuesday for Wednesday shelf date.

Releases on a Saturday...I find that exceptionally hard to believe. As a matter of fact, I dont believe it.

I'll be making a phone call to mybuddy to see if its in the warehouse, or is expected to arrive by air freight on Monday. Because they will start the shipping process then and he'll already know if its on the schedule.

I got that link from Ubi soft's forums. My son works at Blockbuster and they are scheduled to receive it the 23rd. I did a search and ebgames, FYI, and another said the 23rd.

Yeah I think the 27th is a bunch of hot air. You dont release a game on a Saturday. Main reason is, people wont play for Saturday delivery on preorders. ($10 charge by fedex and UPS) And companies wont pay that extra shipping surcharge for you either.

Also every internet store I have gone to so far has a ship date of 3/23. Havent seen one 3/27...Sites I checked : EBGames, Gamestop, and ToysRus, Best Buy

They won't air a UK commercials in North America. So i'm not sure what they were talking about with that release date! well i'm in canada and i know that they definitely don't air commercials from overseas on our stations. As far as i've seen the release date is march 27. (canada styles):cool:

Anyway, your best bet would be to whip out a yellowbook and call Walmart/Target.

Walmart, Kmart, Target and Best Buy stores have batches shipped to them throughout the entire release week. When sending out to a large retailer like those, they get more than just the new release in the fulfillment box. The number of fulfillment orders for the above chains is in the thousands. You should see the stack of orders when its carried out from the main office to the distribution line....LOL! It also depends on if the Walmart in your area placed an order for the product as well. I believe a certain number are predetermined, but any extra copies need to be ordered by the specific store.

But the single player is amazing. They really fixed alot of things as well. (like being able to open doors when holding a body; Optical cable is a door option; Can open doors from a crouched position, binoculars etc)
