What can I do so it doesn't lag? There is less than 40 feet between the modem and the xbox live adapter.

Go back to hard wires...LOL! Just kidding, I just am not an advocate of the wireless revolution. I am sure a few of the XBA techies will help ya out with some advice though.

Remove/move any objects that may dampen the signal (ie: furniture, people, WMD). Try to have the router and the Xbox in a position where the signal doesn't have to pass any walls or solid obstacles.

I got a 25-ft cat 6 cable and it still lags. Could it be my router? What would be the best for no lagging?

I got a D-Link 2.4GHz wireless broadband router (Dl-614+).
I have no idea if that's good, I'm just reading it off of the router so if someone could tell me if it's good enough, thanks.

That's sounds like the ending to a very cheesy Soap Opera... srry Summer+Day Time TV....
OO i got a response... "I killed all techies... snapped their skinny pale necks *dramatic music*"

Yes, exactly.
The linksys wireless routers are GARBAGE. D-Link currently makes the best wireless routers  The linksys have many problems like, latency issues, Distance problems, loss of signal etc..
Stick with D-Link for wireless

check your MgHz, if it is the same as a cordless phone or any other device that uses the same frequency, then that could be the problem. You might be getting interferrence from another device.

I'm using that NYKO Net Extender.
It seems OK so far.
Man, if you have to move your Router to where there's no obstruction, it kind of defeats the purpose.
