I have the wireless G router to go along with the wireless G game adapter. The game adapter says it creates a lag free environment for online gaming. I've been playing on XBC for a while and I'm still getting lag even when the connection is 13ms. The router and adapter are about 50 ft apart and i'm running on a cable modem, could the distance have anything to do with it? What's the problem? Does anyone else have this adapter and does it work for you? It's like 125$ and so far it's making me think i've wasted my money. I just want no lag so i can start playing for real. Help me out!

I have 802.11b and the xbox live wireless adapter and rarely have any lag at all. The router is about 30 feet from my adapter.

I have the wireles g router and adapter like you. My adapter is one room away from the router and has to run through a stacked up closet. I can't say i'm blown away with it's performance or reliability....try using the utility for the adapter that lets you see the signal strength...they say you can just type the adapter address in your pc web browser to run the app but it doesn't work for me..all I can really say is make sure your wireless g router has the latest firmware from linksys...an update came out on march 6th I believe....maybe try forcing the slower speed of wirelss b ...as the 54g requires a pretty clean connect to the router. and switchin to the slower b standard in the adapters config program may improve the stability.
