Single Player Help

Alright, I got SC a few days ago, and I've only played multiplayer really. I had the original SC, but I never really played it. This one seems to be a lot more cooler, because of the locations..

Anyway, I'm stuck on the first level. (I know, funny isn't it?)

I'm at the part where you go down the stairs, and there are three guards. There's a bottle on the little bar thing, and you have to throw the bottle. The thing is, no matter where I throw the bottle, they see me? I dunno where to go?

Shot out as many lights as you can. That helps.

Then they say some one is here, and then they find me...

well theres a total of 3 guards, 2 are looking at a map, the other is wondering around, so when that one comes near u, whistle, hell come up the stairs, make sure all the lights are shot out around the stairs, dont waste all ur bullets tho, ulll need them later on, but grab that one thats wondering around by whistling,choke him on the stairs,next go get that bottle u were talking about toss it over by the map so those guards get alerted and start walking around when one comes around u do the same u did with the first one, theyall follow the same pattern, well atleast thats what they did for me...to whistle hit the white or black button, one of those..

i had trouble also i know the answer. u wait for the wandering one to go into the smoke follow him but odnt attack him. after he turns around keep going the two with the map will see u u cant hide so just run for the door ull make it. then one will come outside but if u turn left after opening the door they wont come near u

I also got fed up with this part. There are numerous ways to get past it however. I snuck into the room beside the staircase, and used my whistle to my advantage. I just shot out the lights in the room, whistled, and beat the crap out of the guards. :)
