Dropped Back?

I've heard rumours flying about that this game has been dropped back from June 04 to September 04? Is this true?

i dont think there was never a real release date set...just a prediction. i wouldnt be suprised if the game does not come out this year.

no the game will be out this year. it's supposed to be out by july. in a recent interview Peter said that it will be out in july, no one is sure whether he mean that's the target release date, or whether it means that it will be out before, because it will still be out in july if it is released in june.

Xbox.com, says it should be releassed Summer 2004, so Im gussing between June-Aug.
but if they need more time, it just means that they are gonna put more stuff on it, or make it better. or maybe they found a bug and they need time to fix it. I dun mind the wait as long as it will be an awasome game to play. ppl want stuff to come out rite away, but with time, and patients you can get one of the best games, instead of a rushed title.

(ne1 remeber DC, they rushed and look at it their gone. from that point on, I never did mind a company taking more time then they need to to make sure the game works fine.)

What's DC? Seriously people, abbreviations are only adequate when the game's name has been said at least once. SC still means Soul Caliber to me.

Anyway, I put down a preorder yesterday for Fable, girl told me it was slated for September. Obviously, crap-o-land doesn't know any more than anyone else, but I did like that the date was more cautious. I hate being dissapointed by delayed games.

DC is dreamcast, its a well known abbreviations.

Think about this: if they deley the game then that means that they are fixing a bug, that would cuz u to bring it bak to the store or not be able to past a part, etc. or maybe they are putting in more artwork into the game, making the world bigger, adding new quest and features. although a delayed game isn't always because it needs fixing or updating, it could be because the shippment messed up and not all the stores were gonna get it or other delivery problems. so don't quote me and say that not all games are being updated when its deleyed.

but still as I said b4 look at DC and how they rushed it to the market, and later got booted out of the console bussiness, I would rather them take more time to fix or update sumthing then rush it out and have it so many problems

I wouldnt be surprised if they waited till christmas 2005, you know its really rediculous how off time xbox games are, why cant they just bring it out when they say there going to , and why oh why did they get rid of the multiplayer???

Lionhead never gave an actual release there Gun (to my knowledge anyway) so the release time isn't actually "off". Why'd they get rid of the multiplyer? Well a.) it was a stupid idea (imo), and b.) think of how much longer a wait the game would be so they could polish the multiplayer.

ya but that would be worth the wait, see dats wat im talkin about. waiting longer for a game to get better stuff in it, and make it a better value. and the multiplayer is not a stupid idea, its better to have a hum side kick rather then AI. cuz if you were in a fight and the enemy wuz jus out of range for the AI to see it, then it won't attack the enemy but yet get killed in the process. plus you can upgrade your char with items and such and get help through quest.

I stopped looking forward to it when they dropped it from live. They got plenty of more time "furnishing" the single player aspect of this game. But if its dropped again I'll be pissed because I'll have nothing the play in the summer knowing Halo 2 will be out in the fall.

ya i hope so too, even though i've been saying to be patient and let them do wat they need to. another year would make it 4 yrs of in devlopment, and me watching all these other RPG's (FFXI, the other new RPG for XB (dun rember wat its called)) and seeing how they are goin to drown form Fables tidel Waves., I jus can't wait for it to come out. but untill then i'll be plain my Madden 2004.

IGN has Fable down for August, so who the heck knows. All I can say is that I'm glad I'm not one of these guys who've been following the game since it was Project Ego. I mean, some of those dudes have some SERIOUS patience. I'd have given up on the game by now if I was in their shoes.

Man, I remember going into work one hot may night back in 2001. A friend of mine asked me, "Hey have you seen that new project ego game at E3?" And so it began. About three years now. I really think there should be a law, no unvieling games until they are within six months of completion. Rockstar had it right with GTA: San Andreas. I wish more companies would follow suit.

You should tell your customers that you're required by law to give them release dates on anything your store sells as a preorder.

Yes they should, but the question is do they have the time to do it still? (Im basing this on the xbox.com release date of Sept 2004) If they would want to do the multiplayer they would only have 5 months to get it to do what they said: Allow you to change herso so that they can complete tasks, Allow for both heros to gain exp and items, Change Fable when multiplaer is added such as enemy diffculity, supposly add 3 other players for multiplayer, and anything else they said they were gonna add to the multiplayer aspect. Personally if it took them this long to do the game then i don't think 5 months is enough time for them to make the multiplayer part of the game and to make the way they said it was going to be.
