Electronic Arts announced today that our favorite (the only?) Aussie platforming hero is returning for another go in TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2. Developed by Krome Studios, the bigger, badder, boomerangier sequel is set to hit stores in Fall 2004 for Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Game Boy Advance.
What's new this time around? TY, whose name apparently is so sassy it must be written in upper-case, is back to duke it out with uber-villian Boss Cass, who has set up dictatorial rule over Cassopolis. TY will travel over huge, open environments and use his new arsenal of 21 upgradeable boomerangs and five Mech Units to bring Boss Cass to justice.
The Mech Units will offer variety to game play, giving TY the ability to swim under lava, shoot lasers, Blastorangs, water or fire, etc., depending on the unit equipped. TY will also be able to drive and fly various vehicles, as well as unlock cart-racing mini-games.
