With everyone talking about possable battlefeild on Xbox, I give you, Battlefeild: Modern Combat, the PS2 exclusive. As this point EA better forget talking with MS, there not going to a market on Xbox if they keep this **** up. I own a PS2, and I like the system, but with its internet there is no way its gunna handle battlefeild with 128player gameplay the game is known for, this just isnt gunna be good...

here is the news article straight from IGN...

sorry about the double post...but this proves my point

"The PS2 version will support 24 players online"

24 Players, wtf? That is not the battlefield people know and love on the PC, there shooting themselves in the foot here

I'm preying E3 still holds the announcement, and magically, the Xbox version will come as well....

I wouldn't think that even if it does make it to xbox there will be much more than 24. I don't think there's a game that holds over 16. While Halo is supposed to up the ante, if you're looking for 128 player gameplay, you better stick w/ the PC.

24 player gameplay would be amazing on the xbox...

infact that would be a major revelation at this point...

Isn't there some Star Wars game comming out that is similar to BF? I forget what it's called, and its a new idea, so hopefully, that will get me by this horrible news that EA is gonna exclusively release an amazing game on laggy servers.

I can't imagine an Xbox game with that many people online. With people having problems running games with 16 people, how could they run one with 100+?

Exactly. I'm assuming either this guy hasn't played live or is in denial of the things it can offer at this point. It's not completely rare that someone can host 16 on games such as R6, but up that? Just glad i know people w/ optimum online (even if it is casper)

Yeah 128 is a bit much, only things a PC can do I guess.

But 24 sounds good, just not on the PS2, *wonders how it will handle that*
Xbox would be pritty smooth with 24, therefore making it awsome.

But meh, I'm not that annoyed. Battlefield is and always will be best on PC.

yes I have live, and in no way did I claim that an xbox verson would support 100+ players, I simply said that that amount of players is what makes a BF game good, and I wouldnt be nealy as fun as it is on the PC, which is why I prolly wouldnt get this game on Xbox either, but I know there are many of you that would...

64 players, the max number for Battlefield on the PC isn't always rosey. 40 would probably be the number I'd settle on in BF as being the most number of players without getting problems with lag and whatnot. 24 players wouldn't be bad, however 32 players would be ideal.

More doesn't always mean better...but, I've never played Battlefield, so, I'm not sure what the game would be like with 128 players...that's a ton.

Yea Star Wars: Battlefront is already LIVE confirmed. However its also multiplatform so you can expect the Xbox version will be held back.

For some reason I have faith about EA bringing BF to Xbox it some form or another. When I first read all these new rumors about BF coming to Xbox I read somewhere that it wasn't only coming to XBox, but PS2 as well. This news really doesnt surprise me. But hopefully the big surprise will be kept for E3.
