What's up everyone. I was watching the E3 demo from last year, and realized that when the Chief takes the sergent's SMG, he has three weapons (the battle rifle, and dual weilding SMGs)...I'm not trying to jump to conclusions because I know it was only a demo...but think of the possibilities? Maybe we will be able to have two sets of dual fisting weapons. For example two SMGs for one and a plasma rifle and plasma pistol for the other. This is just my opinion
What do you guys think?

Yes, you can have a two-handed weapon, and two one-handed weapons.

How does that two handed gun work anywayz? Is it R for both or is there seperate fire for each? (Just wondering)

Each trigger controls its respective weapon.

I'm going to strongly assume that to fire the left gun, you'll have to pull the L trigger...especially since you won't be able to throw grenades when wielding two weapons.

yea, I've also heard, or read somewhere that the left trigger will fire the left one and the right one fire the right one, but that must mean that there is going to be a button to select one or both weapons so that you can throw grenades.

I just said that Eagle, you should live up to your label and be more "vigilant." ;)

This is just my opinion since nothing is confirmed, but, I have a hunch that the "Y" button, which is used to switch weapons, when hit once, will pull out one SMG (for example) and hit again, it will pull out a second SMG (for example). (This is, of course, you have two SMGs which are both double wielding able weapons since they are one-handed). If you hit "Y" again, both SMGs (for example) will be put away and your other weapon will be armed...like the Battle Rifle (for example). Hit "Y" again and the process happens all over again.
Just a hunch, of course.

I always did the 3-weapon trick on POA, and the switching between three guns isn't bad at all, because you know how many times to press Y to bring up the gun you want. So I think Y will scroll between the three possible combinations.

I'd have to say thats a pretty good hunch since every FPS since Goldenye (that I can think of) that has dual-wielding, lets you scroll to the one handed gun, then brings up a second. The tricky part is when I'm carrying my battle rifle, plasma pistol, and smg...that yield 4 scrolls instead of only 3.

maybe the button used for switching the types of grenades will be used to switch to holding only 1 gun when you press it while holding two?

oh t3h gEn1ouS. That's a great idea. So, what you do is you switch to a single weapon that you want in your combo. Then you just hit the button that usually switches grenades and your second single handed gun will pop up. And, if you are carrying 3 single handed weapons and this weapon isn't the one you want, then you just hit the same button again until the next single gun pops up and you have the combo you want. That reduces the button hits to 2. Awesome!
Good call Eagle. I have a feeling that this may indeed be the way Bungie will do it.

well it prolly will be, becuase the bungie people make the game realistic, so master chief wont be able to carry 20 guns at once. like in doom for example. he would prolly be able to hold 3 max i guess.

Yea, I've always appreciated that they only allowed you to carry two at a time, not only does it add realism to the game, but also strategy-which is usually completely missing to 1st person shooters.
