Hip Interactive announced today they've been working on the latest chapter in the CT Special Forces series. The new title, dubbed CT Special forces: Fire on Effect, will throw you back into action against nefarious terrorist folk. Only this time, the game promises an extra dash of reality.

"We want to offer gamers a genuinely varied experience, as they had in previous CT Special Forces titles, through making it a high-end title with a realistic feel. The importance of physics and the amazing new gadgets available to the player are our core focus in this development," said Graeme Boxall, Development Director.

The new CT outing will feature "unique" missions against various terrorist networks. A new engine will power the game; including a new physics system that promises lifelike death and destruction. While gameplay will differ from previous games in the series, CT Special Forces will stick to its roots. Expect lots of frenetic action whilst annihilating terrorist scum.

Hip Games will be showing off CT Special Forces at E3, so expect more details in coming weeks. Expect the game to hit store shelves sometime in 2005.
