Rockstar Games has today announced that it will release Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition for PlayStation 2 and Xbox towards the end of this year. As the title suggests, Rockstar has entered into a partnership with DUB magazine, which it hopes will infuse the game with an unparalleled level of expertise and knowledge of the automotive industry and the street customization scene.

"The Midnight Club series has redefined the racing genre with its revolutionary open-ended racing and seamless integration of street racing culture," said Dan Houser, Rockstar Games' vice president of creative. "Now, through the combination of Rockstar San Diego's technical prowess and DUB's notoriety as the pulse of the automotive lifestyle world, we are poised to once again push the boundaries of speed and style well beyond anything ever seen before in racing games with Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition."

"We at DUB are extremely excited for the opportunity to bring our knowledge and influence to Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, which is sure to be the quintessential racing game for any true aficionado of the automotive and racing lifestyle," added Haythem Haddad, creative director and co-founder of DUB. "The flair for innovation and cultural progression that Rockstar Games and DUB are universally known for will undoubtedly become the trademark of Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. We look forward to working with Rockstar Games to exceed the limits of what is expected of a racing game."

The game sounds really cool, but since I am a graphics w.h.o.r.e  I was not impressed with playing a PS2 port. Hopefully with part 3, we get a racer on the lines of Project Gotham Racing 2 :D

It wasnt bad, but you can tell its a PS2 game or at least a game that was designed on the PS2 first. So hopefully with 3 they do something about that.
