Maturity of CS community

How would you rate the maturity of the CS community? With, for example, Links2004 being very mature and ....i guess mechassault being very immature. I have only played mech once but i hear a lot about the community on xba. Personally I think the community of CS is a huge turn off for this game. Little kids yelling or singing or just doing anything they can think of thats annoying into the mic is a pretty common problem. Then of course you often have an idiot who flashes his own team in the beginning giving the other team an advantage. I can't even play in a game that has friendly fire anymore. I like the added realism, but there will ALWAYS be kids there to team kill.

Um...well the maturity level of the players on CS is well...about average or slightly lower. The fact that all I hear for hours while playing is "SHUT UP NOOBS!" "YOU ALL SUCK NOOBS!" "NOOBS!" it gets freaking old and especially when people get into arguements over the Mic lol...then I hear "SHUT UP FUTHA FU$%#NG NOOB!".

Anybody who does anything of that sort is a noob themself...why can't people grow up.

Why would you even have a post like this if you don't doubt the maturaty of the CS community. I have played against many whiny little $h!ts that cry or yell into the microphone thinking they can somehow distract the bullet rushing for their head.

So far I've noticed that every game I've played on Live has that one moron on the server who abuses the mic. From CS to RS3, its always that one kid.
Of course this is a CS forum, so I'll point out that I've noticed that it's CS and MA that has what sounds like 5 year olds cussing at me. Is that a voice mask? I don't use those, but I was amazed at the sound of these kids playing too.. trying to tell me what to do, or they got something on me, or trying to cuss me.
But I just concentrate on killing the other team. Or them if I figure out who it is.

There's a lot of little kids on there that are reall annoying but I only play with one group of people so I dont have to worry about them. That seems to be the best thing in CS, find a good group of ppl to play with and kill together.

Definitely below average. But then again, I play mostly w/ XBA peeps, and you guys are all mostly pretty chill online. But still, CS attracts a different mentality then Crimson Skies (a rather mature community) or Rainbow 6 (an interesting blend of mature and immature).

I don't play CounterStrike or MechAssault because I find way too many annoying, spazoid kids playing those games. But if, say, a bunch of XBA guys were on, then I'd definitely play. As it is, the XBA bunch is stuck on Rainbow 6, which while a good game, gets boring just like any of 'em.

how the **** do these kids get this game? they are like 3,5,8 years old. Its soo annoying, and whatever is bad on rainbow six 3 (player wise) its twice as bad on counter strike. They are always saying n*gg**, screaming in the mic, never shuting the **** up. I'm trying to play the game and this 5 year old is saying stuff like "if you wanna move this way you you got to turn your body like this"(refering to the game and the way you move). My brother is 12 years old, here I thought he was annoying but he never talks and when he does he never says anything real annoying and then when kids like that come on he tells them to shut the **** up. I'm impressed with him. :rofl:

Yeah, having to deal with some of these morons on Live has made me start supporting the retailers that don't sell M rated games to kids (its obviously not stopping them though). The problem with Live, and most other online games is that you're just playing with some random people so there are really no consequences to your actions, thats why its nice to get together a group of friends, or meet with people from sites you trust like XBA, where you know the people outside the game and there is a mutual respect, and if you do something stupid in the game it will affect other parts of your life, you can't just turn off your XBox and go about your day being a complete moron.

I think the CS community is extremely immature, that is one of the reasons I've stopped playing CS as much as I did. Rainbow Six 3 and Splinter Cell have decent communities because you dont get the little kids as much.

Half the reason that the CS community is so immature is that on the Xbox version, I would venture to say well over half the kids that play are under the age of 10. There are some mature kids at that age, but it's rare. Hell, really rare, since half the people under age 18 are still dumbasses. Anyways, all the kids always ***** in the game, and it's really annoying. If only you could find out where these people lived, so you could go to their house, rip out their mic, and stomp on it several times.

The game still isn't as bad as Mechassault though, worst community ever. People ***** at you if you aren't the best player ever, people ***** at you if you kill them, people ***** at you if you ***** at them.

i think they are very immature apart from the people on my friends list. I dread joining a normal game without friends as I get abuse every time i play CS!!! Its frustrating

The people I play with are all pretty mature..but like the rest said theres always some little kids that get on there and scream sh1t into the mic...as for rainbowsix three and splinter cell...some people said that was more mature but if youre not good on rainbow you get alot of "noob" comments and it gets quite annoying. I wouldnt know about splinter cell though.
