Tecmo today unveiled a surprise to the world with a revival of a Sega Saturn classic, aiming GunGriffon, its revitalized mech combat game for Microsoft's Xbox Live.
Taking place on a hostile futuristic world where humans are doomed to survive, players take on the militaristicly insane role of a renegade soldier whose prime mission is to down armored tanks. Using a High Mac (High-Mobility Armored Combat System) to eliminate the enemy's ultimately dangerous ground weapons, tanks, and soldiers scattered across the war-torn environment, you engage in constant, intense and tactical combat to eliminate all enemies across a slew of territories.
Using Xbox Live to give players an arsenal of game modes and mission types, Tecmo is really taking GunGriffon where it should have been so long ago. Players will have to form teams with other players online, and work to become skilled at strategizing tactics and coordinating each action with team members to win. The game features single-player, multi-player and online modes, with variety of mission types, each with its own objective.
