2 questions about a halo trailer i watched

Just watched a halo 2 trailer looked pretty good it's the one where they show him being taken in by a ship with some people then he kills some coveanant with a gun now this is my question. Is that gun replaceing the pistol cause it had the same zoom and sound as the pistol???? And also then he went in the back of a warthog and he took out these massive ships with like 4 or 5 bullets thats way to easy are they gonna make it harder to kill those things harder to kill in multiplayer???

P.S im a halo2 Nob at the moment so don't roast me if my questions are so old :D im sure you've all know for ages and answered it a 100 times once more please :)

yes i belive that the gun, that gun is called the battle rifle, is taking the pistols position and i think the ar's position

The pistol was to powerful, and the AR was to weak.

I think the Battle rifle will be the perfect balance.

yes it will be the best gun that any of us will ever play with or it better be i already found out that 4 people at my school wont be getting halo 2 because of the loss of the pistol

thats a pretty lame reason not to get a game dont you think, you need to convince your friends to try it out, I bet they get hooked on it and find something that they like better than the pistol. ;)

Its cool dude, we were all nooBs once.

The video you watched was actual gameplay made from an early build of the game. It'll be a lot different once the game is released, but the warthog you saw was the "Rail warthog," a single shot weapon with a lot of punch (as you saw). Those ships he was blowing up were "creeps"-covenent buses. There is no word yet on whether or not the Battle Rifle will replace the pistol. We havent seen either the AR or pistol in screens or videos.

BLASPHEMY! The pistol was not too powerful, it was an amazing weapon which I used to pick of snipers half way across the level with. It was an amazing weapon, and as cool as the new BR looks, I am dissapointed the pistols scope/power/accuracy will be removed! To answer your question better, the pistol will not be removed from the game, however its scope will be, and it will be a less powerful/accurate weapon....cry for her...cry for the mighty pistol...:'(

I'm with JJaX on this one...while the pistol is by far my favorite weapon in the first Halo, it would be nice to be able to pick up a different weapon and actually feel good about it. Depending the on the map in the first Halo, I would use different weapons...but, the pistol is used every single time.

Cite your source. I know there is nowhere on the internet that can prove what you said, but cite your source anyways. So far, Bungie has confirmed/denied NOTHING about the Pistol (or the Assault Rifle). If the Pistol (or Assault Rifle) is in Halo 2, we do not know.

I personally would like to see a lot of different things in halo 2 with a few of the classics. The pistol was good, but you'd be an idiot to say it was (*edit*)balanced. My 7 year old brother can kill people with it.
