Come on out of the closet people I know some of you have played it. I'm a little Halo sick right now cause I just beat assault on the control room on legendary but if I wasn't you would all be in an interrigation room with me. I would stick little syringes in your arms and leave em there. I know of one person who has played it.

Man, I don't want to play any games right now because I LOOKED at Halo 2, so I'm kind of glad I didn't get to play it, I'd rather play the clean and finished product.

All I know is that if anyone has any intelligence, you may want to practice up on your Halo skills now if you don't want to be embarrassed when Halo 2 comes out :D
I never quit playing Halo...likely won't until Halo 2 comes out ;)

Thats exactly what I'm thinking. I was a Halo fanatic last summer, I couldn't stop playing it. I probably played a good 4 hours a day on XBC. Ever since last september though, I have only played halo maybe twice, and both times I felt out of place. I am deffinately going to have to spend some long hours this summer to get things going again. Who else thinks we should start up a league...?

Interesting you would present that challenge Max...All of us think we possess Mad Halo skillz UNTIL venturing to XBC...
Yeah, taking your Halo skillz and trashtalkin from your gameroom to online competition..lets just say that its a rude awakening...
I will happily take your advice and be ready to SERVE YOU MAX at either DZnuts party or after Nov 9th... :p

ya man like I said I've been practicing on halo split screen sniping. I move the other controller with my foot and try to snipe in any position and I try to either get him in 2 shots or just hit him in the head. I cant do it nearly as well on xbc so if you play me dont bring this up. I have been going nuts with the shotgun though on xbc. I'm also going to a lan party at my friends as soon as I get back to Ohio.

but here i can prove to you that you are not good. if u answer yes to any of these question ur not good at halo
1.if your favorite level/ the level you play the most is blood gultch
2. If you have never been to a natonal tournament( no a local one but one hosted by the agp, mlg, or halo50k)
3. if you cannot name me the top team in the national right now
4.If you do not use a timer or dont know what a timer is
5. If your favortie level is sidewinder
and again i am not trying to be an ******* just trying to make a point

No, if you answer yes to any of those questions, it doesn't mean you aren't a "good" halo player, it just means you aren't a ****in psycho halo player that plays halo and only halo and thinks about halo 24/7. I went through that phase last summer, and even then, I was really good, but my favorite map was blood gulch. Why don't you act just a little bit more arrogant

I know max isn't cause I've played his friend and he was good but I know max is a lot better. I'm not the greatest but by the time halo 2 comes out all my pratcing sniping will come to use.

wtf?? That char guy who alpha tested might not even be that good.
Name the top team in the national league. hmmmmmm....... how the **** would I know and who pays attention to that unless they are competing against them. Sidewinder and blood gultch are not bad levels, it depends on how you play and you probally play small levels.

The best Halo player in my eyes is the one who helps out his team the most. Whether it be sacrificing himself for a flag capture, or taking a rocket to save a teammate. Whatever the case may be, if you're the only one that wins, your team loses.
For a multiplayer game without teams, the best player is the most consistent. Not just slayer, but oddball, king of the hill, or survival. THAT is the defining quality of a good player.
I see people play and get 50 kills to 15 kills, but you play a team game like CTF, and all they do is kill. It's pretty sad to see.
Once Halo 2 is out, everything will be taken to the next level.

exactly I do that all the time in a lot of games. I snipe the enemy when they are trying to get the flag and if they have the flag I always do something to prevent them killing the guy with the flag. I get my ass killed but they score.

I've taken rockets when I was guarding the flag carrier. I'm always the guy that goes for the flag and then tries to get it back any way possible, my theory is: we're a team, whether I have points or not means nothing, if the team wins, thats what matters. Hey, even third stringers get super bowl rings.

I'm gonna agree with Bretman on this one...
Just because you like Blood Gulch doesn't make you a bad player. It's obvious that Blood Gulch is the map of choice for a good round of CTF. And its the same with side winder. Does that make me a good player if I love the map 'Rat Race'? No, it just means I have a different taste. It means I like indoor maps as apposed to outdoor ones. And BTW: it is freking infuriating to play a game of CTF in Rat Race or Hang em High(but Hang Em High is a awesome map).
Dont judge someone of the levels they like: judge them on November 9th when it really counts. Then we'll see who is good and who's just talking.

Agreed. Just because someone enjoys playing on Blood Gulch doesnt make them a bad player. It just means that they have a different "opinion". Obviously you know what that is...

Well, I find the levels on halo have some problems, but they still kick mad ass. It is very easy to find out where someone is on halo. I mean, you can't hide anywhere, the only thing you can do is fight for your dear life. That's why I'm hoping halo 2 has very big levels. That way, people won't be getting mad kills all the time. Personally, my favorite way of killing somebody is stealthily. Which is why halo is a game of always moving around if you want to be stealth because it is very easy to spot somebody, especially if they are sniping. Also, I kind of agree with weird halo freak kid. Sidewinder and blood gulch are both levels where EVERYONE goes for the sniper at times.....I'm afraid halo 2 is going to turn into, "run and get the sniper first so you can get the most kills"
AH, what in the hell am I ranting about. HALO 2 IS GONNA KICK ASS!

Noone fights for the sniper when I play because my boys and I all have our jobs. It's all a matter of strategy. So what if someone wants the most kills in a CTF game? It's the captures that matter. I usually have 3+/5 captures and only lkike 15 kills at the most because I'm always goin for the flag.

Personally, I like to mix things up... Like Slayer, Team Slayer, CTF...I don't like playing only Team Slayer all the time...like I said, mixing things up is great.
Take a map like Wizard...no shields and shotguns only...now get about 8 or so people at a free for all...crazy fun! Or Derelict with Rockets only...good times. Team Slayer at Hang Em High, CTF at Blood Gulch...you know, mix things up...makes things more fun :)

Same here...
as for the whole thing come on just cause you haven't been to a national tournament or don't know what the top team is in the nation...
and on another note I was recently at a lan party where we played a game of CTF at blood gulch, they determined the teams by ROCKETS, of all things rockets... it was just sad, I was put on a team of 1 great, unbelievable player, 2 ok players, and 2 crappy ones. The other team got 6 people, and they were all GOOD...
they were up by 3 and starting to catch even more momentum. Then my team's leader made up a plan were he went for the flag's and 3 of us guarded the base: 1 on foot, 1 on the top of the base, and the last inside w/ a shotgun. the other guy was sniping. This plan worked great until they caught on, so it stopped working, so he decided that everyone should go. so we did. I jumped in a ghost and zoomed across, went in the back and took the flag. THEY didn' even notice me.. and I scored the last flag...
I'm just babbling on and on now, aren't I.
Who cares I'm just overwhelmed that My team one against some pretty sick odds

Well, I wouldn't go as far as calling it boring...just redundant. There are tons of people on XBC, for example, that only seem to play Chill Out Team Slayer. I mean, the host already has a huge advantage, right? Close quartered maps give them an even greater advantage...and Chill Out is definately a close quartered map. It gets annoying.

Heh, but the map I'm kind of sick of is prolly Damnation, the last 5 or 6 games i've played on XBC were on that map, so right now its on the boycott list. But, when I play a big system link game, I always play the cycle, every board including Chiron.

I'm going to use this thread to talk about my team's amazing feat yesterday @ a Halo LAN... We were on Longest, shotguns only, normal health, normal shields, Team Slayer, 4 vs. 4, first to 50 kills. About 2 minutes into the match, I charged towards their spawn, and met them mid hallway...
[Ist shot, 2nd shot, 3rd shot] Double Kill!
[4th shot] Triple Kill!
[5th shot] KILLTACULAR!
Yes, i killed their entire team in 5 seconds. And then I ran into their room, arms up, and screaming. Ran back to my controller, and about 30 seconds later, my teammate repeated the feat to end the match.
Now pretend that you're excited. ;)
