Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

I have just bought Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Its not a bad game, but it seems awfully hard. Is there any way I can cheat on it? I have found some cheat codes, but most only work once you have completed the game. How useless is that?

If you have any hints, tips, or generally any comments about the game, I'd like to hear it.
