Yes that is the official box art as of now, but I wouldn't doubt that it is being changed. Several Bungie employees don't like it at all, so it isn't 100% official. I don't like it too well either, considering the game it is portraying, but we'll see...

It is $5 more I believe. Depending on where you preorder it. Here is some info on what is included (from HERE (http://www.bungie.net/News/Story.aspx?link=5B522E9E-A265-409E-9267-EB2EDCFD50B4)):

The exclusive 2-DVD set includes, in addition to Halo 2:

* The Making of Halo 2: Behind the Scenes of Bungie Studios.
* Featurettes on Game Design, Animation, Music and More.
* Deleted Cinematics and Characters
* Art Gallery: From Concept to game
* Commentaries from the Development Team
* And much, much more.

In Canada its 69.99 for Normal, 79.99 for Collector. What I want to know is if the normal box is INSIDE the Collector one... cause I love them both and don't want ot have to buy 2 of em :(

I think what he means is the special edition case simply a "wrapper" for the regular edition. And the answer is prolly not, you'll most likely have to buy both if you want both covers.

P.S. $55 USD for the SE

I hope the LE box stays the same... it kicks ass. The normal is OK but since I already have my LE paid for I dont care.

Yeah, i honestly dont care because i preordered the LE. I think the regular looks pretty lame. Almost Rambo-esque

Personally, I like either one...why? It holds the disc of Halo 2 on it :D

Seriously, I can care less which one I get...it'll be on my shelf anyway and the disc in my XBox ;)

That's exactly what I meant.
Whatever, I'll just take a cover/box from work if it doesn't come inside ;)

That normal box is the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Get red of it bungie!

Yeah, i really don't like that box art too much. It's the exact same photo of MC they used on one of the OXM covers awhile ago. Just different colors.

Yeah, the limited edition is definately worth the five extra dollars, but I don't give a shat if I can get my hands on the disc! They can send the disc to me in a sandwich, I don't care as long as I have it.

Besides, you know what they say: It's not whats on the outside that counts...

Exactly, the tin box will be a nice collectors item but this game could come in a white box with one line of black letters reading Halo 2 and I would still buy it.

I reserved the limited and it's gonna cost $66.00 total here... Well actually $61.00 including the $5.00 charge I already paid to reserve it!

I'm interested to see the making of Halo2 (DVD) :D

Should be worth every penny..... :hump:

I hope it is as detailed as the LOTR extended edition documentation. About 3-4 hours of documentation come with each extedned edition movie.

Honestly, what really bugs you guys about the box art on the right? Is it really that bad? If you guys want to get critical, the first Halo box art wasn't exactly all that either.

Yeah really, it's kinda like how every Final Fantasy game gets bashed but they all seem to do well (except for CC, that is). I personally think it suits teh game fine.

Lotec: Thats the main reason I buy the extended movies. I think i've watched the FotR and tTT about 1million times :p and a lot of the times its with the commentary on, or I just watch the making of parts. BTW, speaking of making of parts, the new Saving private Ryan DVD is awesome! Now thats a box they can be proud of.
