The dudes over at Alter Ego seem to have the lowdown on how the Xbox controller will be mapped out for Fable. Indeed, this is not stellar news or anything, but it is nice to see that the setup seems pretty intuitive...

It looks good, except I'm not a big fan of attacking with the X button. It would be better if the right trigger and X functions were switched around.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't think it would feel right to attack with the X button.

Back on topic....I think the layout is fine as it is. I imagine there might be some option to customize controls, but w/ a combat system that is basically a suped up hack-'n-slash, pulling the right trigger to attack would be stupid. Much easier to tap X then try and squeeze that trigger fifty times in a fight. At least I'd be uncomfortable w/ it.
