if anyone can help me hook up my xbox through my vcr, talk to me through AIM now at heartsxcarved.. it would be greatly appreciated

You don't want to do this if you intend to watch DVD movies on your XBOX.

i know, this was a temporary fix for my online halo needs, just untill i can get broadband into my room. (few days)

Well, there is no real trick to it.

A stereo VCR typically has three RCA jacks for input.
Yellow = video
Red & White (might be red & black) = audio

A mono VCR will only have one audio jack. You'll need to use a RCA Y-cable to combine the L&R into mono.
