I'm assuming that this was the button layout screen for Halo 2 at E3 2004. Probably when the map was loading or something...
Have you guys seen this yet? It was my first time, so, I figured I would post it in case someone else missed it like I did.

Nice find dude, never saw that picture before. There wasn't really any load times in Halo 1, so I'm not really sure if you would ever see this at a "load screen" due to the xbox's cache and lack of loading. But, maybe Halo 2 has a bit more loading to do than Halo:ce.

Well, I kind of expected that since Bungie said they were keeping the button config the same, and everyone that has played it said that it plays exactly like Halo 1, but flashlight isn't marked...

Hehe, yeah, but they threw it together in one day at the end of production because they realized that they needed one. :)
Nice find, I haven't seen that picture, although I do know the button layout.

Cool, yeah, it's good to keep them the same, so everyone can instantly jump in.
I didn't like the Halo loading screen, loads took awhile (compared to others anyway) so that humming seemed to go on for ever.

That usually only happens after I unplug and replug my xbox in, but its like Ninja Gaiden, the cache saves the levels to eliminate loading.

Nice. Exact same layout. I was curious as to how they were going to handle the dual weilding.

Yeah I like that it is so much the same. It didnt say flashlight for the white button so I imagine there is no longer a flashlight?
I dont know but I am glad buttons are nearly the same.

Probably because they only played that one outdoor level, and there is no need for a flashlight in it :watchout:

Yeah, it's my assumption that everything isn't finalized yet...hell, that wasn't even an Alpha version :D

Hehe, there's no WAY that's finalized! No sprinting, no melee combos, no leaning/peeking...

Gotta have the hump button! There are indoor parts to that level so a flashlight could be used, but there isn't any of the advanced stuff in there, which Bungie had said
they turned off because it (paraphrase) "wasn't balanced or ready yet."
Here is a pic of the Live Lobby they used as well.

hmm. I vaguely remember somehting abou tleaning around corners with the d-pad. I also remember something about plasma grenades not blowing up until you let go of the trigger.
i think this was all in the egm or oxm that first covered halo 2....
anyways, i havent seen both those pictures in here, but I too knew the button layout ;D

Bungie played around with that idea, but I am sure they have decided whether or not to implement that already. If they haven't, then what have they been doing the last few years? We will find out if this feature is in the game soon(tm).

hmm. i don tsee anything bad about it....
except i guess if you camp next to a flag with a grenadde thats unblown, and when soome one goes for it...BOOM!
hmm, seems like a nice touch for bragging rights. Let a guy walk half way back to his map, wait until he,s next to one of your team mates....BOOM!
hehehehe.
either way, plasma grenades are still cool.
