The World Cyber Games (www.worldcybergames.com) 2004 Grand Final will be held in San Francisco this October. Over 60 countries will be sending their best players to compete in the 8 official games. Halo (1v1) and Project Gotham Racing 2 are the 2 official console games this year. The total prize purse is $400,000 USD. For those of you that were not aware of it, Matt "Zyos" Leto from Texas won the Gold medal and $20,000 USD in Seoul, S Korea, last year for his 1st place finish in the Halo tournament.

WCG USA (www.wcgusa.net) and WCG Canada (www.wcgcanada.ca) will be holding qualifier tournaments this summer to see who will get to represent the US and Canada in San Francisco. Two players for each game, Halo and PGR2, will be going to San Francisco in October. The winning players will receive travel, accomodation, and meals in San Francisco. Players will also receive travel and accomodation assistance to the national finals for each country.

For more information, please go to the proper website for the country you are a citizen of. The WCG is based on citizenship, regardless of where you reside. Check to see where the nearest qualifier event will be taking place. If you are the best Halo or PGR2 player in the US or Canada, we want you to come out and prove it! We will then send you to San Francisco to play against the best in the world. If you are the best, then you too will come home with a medal, prize money, and more importantly, bragging rights!

For those players in the Cleveland area, WCG USA will be at the MGA LAN party next weekend, June 18-20, holding its 1st qualifying event. We hope to see you there!

Good luck to all!
