;) I play on a 32" Flat crystal clear Sharp plasma. I use the Y-components monster cables that allow me to have a real crystal clear image. I have 7.1 BOSE sorround sound really handling the job, it always feels like its a party at my house when I play LAN Halo with friends. ;)

Just use a 27" Phillips. No surround. Keep meaning to move on up to it, just lazy and poor.

Using the S-Video for now as I was told a long time ago, that I wouldn't get that much more out of my component w/out having an HD set, but I'm sure I'll start using it sooner or later.

I have a 27" cheapo RCA, but it looks pretty good. It has composite in, and I've always wondered if I should buy one of those kits? Anyone know if S or Composite actually look better than the single video in on a low end tv?

Yeah. If you have component in, use it! You'll notice colors on the screen you'd have never seen before! Also, in games like Splinter Cell, it's looking more black and bright than in standard.
Composite is leagues over S-vid. S-vid is much better over standard.

This is my baby... The Philips 46" widescreen HDTV. It looks sweet in motion. The audio is DD 5.1 surround optical. You really get a feel for it when i play full spectrum warrior and the explosions scare the S.H.I.T. out of my daughter, but she still sit there to watch me play). Also when i play espn baseball, and you hear the fans heckling the batter from behind me, and the umps calls the balls and strikes from behind me. Also notice the FAMU diploma in the upper left hand corner. Rattler Strike!!!!

Toshiba 57" widescreen 1080i CRT rear projection HDTV
5.1 surround sound system (Rear chanel speakers are my dad's speakers since he's had since high-school. The only thing he's ever done is replace the tweeter...and they sound great)
Component video via Xbox HD-AV kit + Fiber optic hookup to reciever
+ $70 logitech wireless xbox controller

Only 1 problem. Non-progressive scan/ high-def games (including pandora tomorrow look like s***. So does regular tv. Damn i have to get some high-def programming)

Bostwick, while that is a nice system, I think Lynxfx has everyone beat here....perhaps, Hugh_Jass is his only rival...but, that's about it. There's nothing like the Mile High Theatre... One of these days, Lynxfx will invite me over ;)

As for me, I play on my 50" Widescreen HDTV manufactured by Toshiba. I have a 600 Watt 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound...XBox is connected with the Monster 400 series Component Video cables and the proprietery Monster Optical Cable for the surround sound.

My next TV will be a digital projector like Lynxfx...I'm thinking about adding on to my house to make an exclusive home theatre...but, that will be a few years from now.

Yeah, i would get a projector, but the windows in my tv room let in too much ambient light so a projector would not be the best idea. Oh well, i can always dream

You know what I just realized. Seeing's how this is the one systems that support's all things good (When it comes to digital viewing and listening support), this is the one system site that can stretch this far on just what we have our stuff hooked up to.

& we know everything about it too! Like, 6.1, 5.1 Dolby Digital with Optic in, High Component, 1080i, 720p...
Man, the other day I was in Walmart asking them if the HDTV they had on sale was supporting 720p or if it just did 1080i & 480p. He didn't know and I had to find it myself.
Truth be told: I didn't know jack from jack when it came to all of this stuff before I got an Xbox. I just had a 1990 Trinitron w/ RF in.
Now I have to dolby surround sound 5.1 systems, one High Component with triple filter, & another TF with S-vid.
Who'd have thought?
Now I'm the guy that hooks up my friends new home theater systems all the time!
